A more accurate name would be NEAR the Lake. It’s “by” a pond. If you want to hike the nearly 2 miles for a picnic at the Lake, you will be walking on the 2-lane street. I didn’t find a path - no sidewalk. The RV sites are nice, clean, and easy to access. Just note you will need a car to get around.

I absolutely loved staying at By the Lake! The facilities were so well kept and maintained. The staff were so accommodating! Especially Susie!! That place would not be the same without her!🙏 She is the most kind and caring person and she made my stay there amazing. She was always there when I had questions or concerns and she made it her mission to help out and get answers as fast as she could! She definitely went above and beyond her job duties to make sure the park was in peak condition. I love how dog friendly the park was, and my GSD sis just loved Susie! She was so happy to see her anytime we were outside! Thank you so much for the care and service you provided during my stay Susie!! You’re the best!

The staff was very friendly and made sure we were aware of safety areas for weather. The camp was clean and well maintained. During our stay, there was a tornado warning. The staff went site to site making sure everyone heard the alarm and moved to the shelter.

Really enjoyed this campground and staff. This was our 2nd time staying here, and we really enjoyed our stay. We have a motorcoach and trailer, and we're 61 feet long. Not every campground can accommodate us, but their sites left us with room to spare. All concrete with concrete patios and picnic tables. Paved roads throughout the park. Loved fishing in the lake, and they have a nice dog park. There is a walking trail around the lake that is very nice, play ground for the kids. A pool in the summer to cool off.

Great park. Big spaces. Family friendly. Verizon is a strong full LTE. Only thing we didn’t like…the frequent train noise.

New park with very spacious sites and thick green grass between. Trees have been planted so shade forthcoming but not now. Every road and camp pad is cement. Fishing pond catch and release. Swimming pool. Huge dog park next to shower house and laundry. Two miles from gorgeous Lake Murray. Very friendly employees and this place is meticulously clean. FHU, Verizon good, WiFi good, cable TV included in price. Convenient to I-35. There is an active train track fairly close by. You will hear the train but it's not extremely loud. No highway noise. First time here and we booked a spot for our return trip. Great place to overnight or more. Didn't take pics because the wind was insane.

This place is beautiful big lots very quiet and very well maintained. We were here only a day but would stay for a week. Very nice!

We were blown away with this park. Extremely clean and well organized with concrete pads. They really focus on giving you everything you need to get your RV up and running quickly so you can relax.

Very nice park. We stayed one night. When we pulled in from a very long, hot drive. We went to plug in and the breaker on the 50 amp was not working. Called to office and someone was right there to fix it. We were up and running fast. Nice swimming pool, dog park.Very nice and polite staff. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here.
