Very nice little campground! Came in for a wedding in the area so didn't get to spend much time there, but would come back!

Great small family oriented campground. Visited for the night. All types of hook ups.

Very nice place. Attentive workers delivered wood to our site and periodically checked on us. It was a busy Memorial Day weekend and me and my guy felt so welcomed! The restrooms were cleaned twice a day and the surrounding neighbors were courteous. Would definitely return!

Quiet and cozy place to camp. You can stay longer, if you make arrangements. Staff enforces rules, so no funny business 👍 which makes me feel safer.

Our stay here was very nice. The campground managers are attentive and helpful in trying to have everyone have a wonderful visit. We had a full hook up site which means you are in the center of the campground. This also means that the sites are narrower than the one's on the outside ring of sites. We paid the extra $10 to hold the site we chose but it seems like campgrounds all over are starting to do this. While there is not much around to do, it is a relaxing area to be in. If you are looking to get away and unplug, this place is a good one to stay at as there is no Wifi. There is a nice trail that goes around the park called Trevors Way or path. You can get to Ross Lake easily from the campground which if you want to take a kayak or small boat it would be possible. We would definitely stay here again.

Let me start off by saying I’ve never once written an review in my life but I felt like this needs to be published. We booked this campground for a Monday-Friday stay. After reading reviews we were super pumped to be in a small town and staying at a NICE AND CLEAN family owned campground on a lake. Our site was nice for $25 a night but the bathrooms/showers were absolutely disgusting, I strongly believe that they were not cleaned once in our entire stay. The water was extremely rusty, showers were orange and dirty, the bathrooms smelled like cigarettes, If we had not paid for the whole week I would have left the next day. The lake was not as expected and the owners were not very friendly either. We will definitely not be returning and wish that we had a nicer stay. If you are looking for an awesome campground check out “River View campground” in Sterling Michigan about 50 minutes northeast. Their rates were the same price and they have river floating which the provide transportation to and you float right back to the camp site! We went there just to float and wish we had found it sooner!

The park, restrooms, trails and access points were all well kept. Hosts did a great job of enforcing the rules and regulations. If you want to party and drive faster than 5mph then this won’t be your kind of place. The very nearby town of Beaverton has plenty to offer in the way of restaurants, taverns, or groceries. The campground is far enough away from the main highways that road noise is minimal. Sites are a mix of sun or shade, breezy or protected. AT&T service was excellent. Hosts even deliver your wood for only $3.00 a bundle.

Very clean; well-organized campground, with a lot of trees and natural beauty. Campsites are grassy, level-grounded, and well-maintained; great shower-house; nice half-mile nature trail; large playground area for kids; nice pavilion area; and great owners. 5 Stars--will be back!

Great little quite campground on the south end of Ross Lake and along the Tobacco River. Great for kayaking and fishing. Lots of huge largemouth and smallmouth bass, as well as perch, caught right from the shores of the campground. Stayed over Labor Day weekend. On Saturday, Amish friends visited the pavilion, offering a wide array of absolutely superb goods for sale, including homemade jams and a number of delicious baked treats. On Sunday, there was a cornhole tournament. We'll definitely be back sometime in the future. We love that it's close enough to home to make for a quick and easy trip, yet at the same time, far enough away to feel like you're getting away. Angela and Jim are fantastic hosts. I almost hate to leave a good review, because I feel like this place is kind of "a best kept secret."
