Fot the most part my experience residing at Caliente Casa de Sol was an enjoyable experience. Clarifying that, in November of 2020 I purchased what I thought would be the home I would be living in for the remainder of whatever time I had left on this planet. I can't say a single negative thing about by neighbors, some who spent all 12 months there like myself, and others who only stayed during the Winter months. I met many people who I will proudly call my friends for the rest of my lfe. That being said, the reason for my 2-star rating pertains to the community management and their lack of compassion when it comes to family health related issues, something many of us unfortunately have to deal with as we age. I have to declare total BS as far as a community slogan goes, a place where you arrive as friends and leave as family. My first family crisis reared its ugly head in July of 2021. My 29-year-old son, had been diagnosed with an incurable illness, and needed around the clock assistance. I was his only means of support in Arizona. I had no choice, but to have him move in with me. He had been living with friends nearby, until his health issues became too much for them to handle. To make a long story short, he passed away three months after coming to live with me, but I guess his short time being there was more than I could ask for. I was breaking an unforgivable rule by having someone underage "living" in my home, a rule that couldn't be bent regardless of the circumstances. During those 3 months he spent the majority of his time either in bed, at doctor's appointments, or in a hospital. He never used any of the community amenities, but his existence was apparently a threat to community standards as far as the powers that be were concerned. None of my neighbors had issues with his being there, in fact quite the opposite, showing nothing but concern and compassion regarding what we were dealing with. Suddenly, after his passing, all was well again, that is until the Spring of 2024. To get to that timeframe I have to go back to June of 2023. My sister, who lived in New York State, had been caring for our 87-year-old mother, who was/is suffering from dementia. She could no longer do it on her own so I invited them to come to Arizona to live with me, unaware at the time I was breaking another "unbendable" community rule by having more than two people living in my home. They arrived in August, and once again my neighbors showed nothing more than concern or compassion. Nothing was said to us by the powers that be until 9 months after they arrived, and then all of a sudden it became another unforgivable violation. I was to be fined $200 for this, and unless I corrected the issue the fine would be increased to $300 per week. I was given two weeks resolved the issue, therefore resulting in our having to leave and abandon my home. I was finally able to sell it yesterday. I guess the moral of this story is Caliente Casa de Sol is a great place to live as long as none of you family members dare to have the audacity to have health issues that need your assistance.

Caliente Casa de Sol, a 55+ retirement and RV Resort in Florence AZ is centrally located between Phoenix and Tucson, and offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and serves the social, physical and fitness needs of the 55+ community. Caliente Casa de Sol is comprised of 856 properties that are owned on an individual basis. Many park models and spaces for 5th wheels, trailers and motor homes are available for rent from those owners, not the park itself. Lot size dictates a limit to unit length, so a check with the office is required before bringing in any unit. The park has many park model type homes, some are available for sale. Great place to winter.

I live in Caliente from October --April since 2015. I own my own place and I have great neighbors. So many things to do and people to do them with. I feel like I have a large family with all the friendships I've made.
