Location & Surroundings

Situated on the outskirts of Poplar Bluff, the park sits at the southern edge of the vast Mark Twain National Forest. The surrounding landscape is defined by rolling hills and dense hardwood forests that change beautifully with the seasons. Its strategic proximity to major highways allows for stress-free navigation for big-rig drivers, yet the park maintains a secluded, rustic feel that effectively buffers guests from the local city traffic and noise.

Amenities & Park Features

The campground features level gravel sites equipped with full hookups supporting both 30 and 50-amp electrical service. Guests have access to essential facilities including climate-controlled restrooms, private showers, and a convenient on-site laundry room. Most sites are pull-thru capable, specifically designed to accommodate the turning radius of modern motorhomes and fifth wheels. Additional features include functional Wi-Fi, fire rings, and sturdy picnic tables at every site for outdoor dining.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts will find themselves perfectly positioned near the Black River and Lake Wappapello State Park, both of which offer premier fishing, kayaking, and boating opportunities. The local area also features the Margaret Harwell Art Museum and several charming antique shops within Poplar Bluff. For those who enjoy hiking, the nearby Ozark Foothills provide miles of scenic trails that showcase the unique geography and diverse wildlife of the Missouri region.

This park is an excellent choice for cross-country RVers seeking a clean, well-maintained overnight stop with effortless highway connectivity. It also serves as a tranquil home base for retirees and families who want to explore the Missouri Ozarks at a slower pace. Very accommodating and friendly! Sites are a bit narrow but very long. Very quiet for an overnight stay right off the Hwy 67.

$45 cash/check/nite. Level narrow site, fhu, nice and close to very clean bath house. Very friendly, thoughtful hosts. Very clean and organized campground facility. Propane available, easy on off to hwy. Dumpstation, picnic table, great for over night.

Pulled into our site after 7 hours on the road. In the site next to us there was a truck with a generator running and two men power washing a huge RV. It was really loud. I have an inner ear disorder and this type of noise makes my head explode, makes me dizzy and nauseous. It looked like they might be done soon so we set up. It has been an hour and a half and they are still going. I complained to the host and they asked if we wanted another site but I am too sick and exhausted to hook up, move, and unhook again. We are tired and hungry and I am sitting on the grass down the way out of the noise. How can they allow this? Site is fine otherwise.

This is a great campground. Very well maintained, quiet even though next to Hwy 67, and very friendly staff. We would definitely stay there again. Nice big pull through sites. It’s a little narrow getting in and out but it’s doable. We enjoyed our short stay! Lots of shady camp sites unless you are in the pull through sites.

This is a beautiful and well maintained campground with easy access to sites and close to anything you may need from groceries to repair services and restaurants. Short term (we stayed 1 night) sites are nice ang long. Owner/managers are very nice and friendly. Pretty sure we have found a new stop over spot as we travel thru the southern MO area.
