Reedsville fireman's picnic. 125 year anniversary. Was on this department for 4 years. Come back every year. Campground and owners are very nice.

We stayed here this past weekend and I couldn't recommend it enough for anyone looking for a family/pet friendly campground! The sites were HUGE and the campsite was quiet. Perfect for a family getaway. They had activities planned throughout the weekend and our girls had a blast. The swimming pond was fantastic with a sandy bottom and even had a floating trampoline/slide. Bubble on the beach Friday night was a definite highlight for our girls. Even had a train ride, crafts, ice cream social, and two calves visit Saturday. We got to enjoy the walking trail searching for eggs filled with candy/prizes. We were able to take our bikes into town via the old rail bed that runs behind the campground. The playgrounds were perfect for any age and they had horseshoe pits, bean bags, and giant ladder golf. For an additional fee you could do gem mining, mini golf, or restricted flight golf at a super reasonable price. The dog park area was great to get some exercise away from the camping area. The campground was gated and we were given a key fob to enter which was nice to ensure people weren't entering who weren't supposed to be there. They also have a loud speaker that announces when there is severe weather in the area which gave us a peace of mind. We grew up 10 minutes away and never thought we would go camping here ever, but now, we're already planning our next trip back.

We camped a weekend here and loved it. The seasonal folks are really friendly, as well as the owners. We appreciated the security gates as we have young children. The pull thru sites are perfect for buddy camping. The dog park is enormous and far from the sites—the best we have seen at a campground by far. The amenities they offer are well kept, well done, and close to the camp sites—which is refreshing compared to other much larger resorts that have everything but much of it is run down and you spend half of your time walking. Our trip was in April, so there aren’t any kids activities or events that early in the season—even so, this was one of the best camping trips we have had in the last few years of doing this. We will definitely be back next year, and hopefully later this year with friends.

The campground appeared clean. A little noisy from the highway. Checking out the dump station is located at the only exit. The line waiting to leave was quite long. I had mentioned this to the employee. She did tell me that the entrance was open and we could leave through that "do not enter" exit. We had no way of knowing. Her comment was " some common sense would have told you that". What ?? Her attitude is the reason we will not stay with them again.

Great place for families. Lots to do. Swimming, mini golf, games, etc. Quiet during the week. Very busy on weekends. Clean bathrooms. Sites are fair size. Pay showers last about 5 min. for .25. Laundry 1.75 to wash 2.00 to dry. The staff is very accommodating. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that quiet hours were not monitored. A couple of groups kept at least our neighbors and us up until 5 a.m.
