Camp Clearwater is going downhill. For the price of this campsite for two days, we should at least get good wifi

Cool place but wish they enforced the quiet time policy. Our neighbors were so noisy and being loud drinking until 2-3am every night of our stay. We ended up leaving two days early.

We do enjoy vacationing there. It has become quite busy. That is just the downside for us, great foe their business. With all of the people, noise can be a factor. If you dont mind the people and the noise, definitely try it out. There is a nice dog run if you have a dog. I used that in the early morning and late evening and there were no other dogs. We had it to ourselves.

Since 2021, I have been a regular visitor to this location and always appreciated the positive and welcoming atmosphere. However, during my most recent visit in 2025, I noticed a shift that left me somewhat disappointed. The friendly environment that once characterized my experiences appeared diminished, replaced by interactions that felt less inviting. During this visit, I encountered a couple of safety concerns, including incidents where me and my family was almost struck while walking. Some rude people on golf carts as well. Enhancing pedestrian safety measures, such as clearer walkways or designated walking areas, could greatly improve the overall experience. Additionally, I observed a preference for cash-only transactions, which raised questions about standard business practices. Implementing transparent payment options, including electronic methods, might foster greater trust among visitors. the water quality was disappointing. It was no longer clear, appearing green with an unpleasant odor. This was not only off-putting but also worrisome. I overheard a conversation where a mother mentioned that her child had become seriously ill after being in the water, even requiring hospitalization—definitely alarming to hear. Additionally, the shower facilities were inconsistent. Some showers only provided hot water, while others offered only cold, making it difficult to find a comfortable balance. This lack of basic facility maintenance was frustrating. On a positive note, I did meet several kind individuals whose warmth stood out and was genuinely appreciated. Their hospitality serves as a strong foundation for this community. With attention to these areas—enhancing safety, promoting transparent practices, and nurturing the friendly atmosphere—I believe the location can continue to thrive. I hope to see these improvements in the future, which would encourage me to return and support this community once more, for now though I don’t think I can contribute financially to this establishment.

We did not stay here but stopped by on the way to the coast. The entire White Lake area is very nice and clean with lots of shops. At the time of our visit, it was off-season, so a lot of businesses were closed, but I would definitely consider a return trip to the area.

Great Campground. Sites offer lots of shade and everything you need is less than 10 minutes away... Love the beach!

Took a group of Boy Scouts and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I definitely would go back. Everyone love the amenities and the grounds at camp clearwater. In addition I appreciate the staff, especially Lindsay which was amazing to work with for our group.

Place is usually really clean, has a old school feel that can warm your heart. Most everyone is pretty nice over there. Great ice cream, always have food trucks there if you're hungry. Just have to watch out for underage kids riding the golf carts. They usually don't look where they're going so just need to be careful of that. This is a great family environment though and aside from the golf cart kids and no service its a great place to be

Fantastic place to visit. I had a great time.
