This is a beautiful facility! There are a few full hook ups and the rest are electric only. The down side is there is only 1 dump station and 1 fresh water intake. For a camp ground this size it absolutely should have at least 4 like most state campgrounds. However I would definitely come back in the off season. Its beautiful campground.

Stayed at the full hookup dog friendly site. If you are in the inner circle, you have a very tight spot. If you have an outer spot, much bigger space for dogs to run around. We booked last minute for Labor Day weekend. Nice huge park and plenty of playgrounds. Most areas are "no dogs allowed" which was kinda a bummer. There are camping sections that are dog friendly, would have liked to see a fenced in dog run or area I could let my dog play. Another downside I didn't like the fire pits so close to the camper, they cannot move and sites are right on top of one another. I felt like I was in my neighbor's space. We did enjoy our time though, plenty of paths to ride bikes.

Do not swim here unless you want the stomach flu for a week! My family and I were scoping out new places to swim and decided to check out this place. Which turned into a horrible experience. There was animal feces all over the beach. Beach goers were stepping in it like it was just another day. This should’ve been my indicator to pack up and leave but instead we swam anyways. After we swam, everyone in our group started to feel off and had an upset stomach. Over the next few days our whole group ended up getting the stomach flu from the absolutely disgusting condition this beach was in. Not sure why the beach was covered in animal feces or why the property management didn’t take care of it. Either way, it’s a health hazard and I’m sure got a lot of others on the beach got sick as well. This is a first for me and I’ve never been sick from swimming at a beach. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to this place not even for a family picnic.

I have been camping, Actually pitched a tent in a wooded area and have had a better experience than the experience we had in these cottages. We booked two nights here in July and left after the first night. The amount of money they charge to rent one of these in comparison to the condition is not worth it. You might as well take your own tent and pitch it at one of their sites, it’ll be a cleaner experience. We had birds nests in our cottage roof that had us up at 5am. They do not clean these cottages at all and expect campers to clean it in between bookings. They have dirty brooms and broken dustpans for your convenience. We had to clean the whole cottage including the fridge, counters, floors and we were still unable to sleep due to the nests. This is mediocre camping at best. At least if I took my own tent, I wouldn’t be cleaning up after the person that was there before me. The bathrooms are very dirty and the showers are full of hair, the well water makes you smell like metal.

First time coming to this camp. It is a large place. We just came from a horrible camp in Ohio, so this place by comparison was so much better. I do have to say that I agree with some of the other reviews concerning late night noise. We were in a spot where nearly all the camp sites had multiple locals coming in and out. The sites across from us had five cars in one site. Many people in and out noisy. Our RV site too close to our neighbors. At night their camp fire smoke came into our sleeping quarters. Water had terrible iron taste. Didn’t use the restrooms. Overall relaxing time for us.

Very pretty place. My rating is low because of the bathrooms. We camped with a large group from Thursday to Sunday. During that time the bathroom was not cleaned. By Saturday there was almost no toilet paper and 2 toilets were clogged. I called the office and they said they would send a cleaning crew out. They did not. On Sunday morning, just as everyone is leaving, they closed the bathroom for cleaning. Just when everyone wants to have one last trip to the bathroom before getting on the road. For $67 a night, pretty poor service.

There were only a few sites we could reserve online (in September), even though there were lots of empty sites while we were there. We were stuck near multiple noisy neighbors that were loud late into the night. Then garbage trucks came to empty the dumpsters by us at 4am. Barely slept.

Not a bad Campground if you have a Giant RV with full hookup, but if you expect to use their bathrooms, be prepared. The majority of stalls don't lock, doors are broken with holes so people can see you doing your business and cleanliness is nowhere near what I would consider acceptable. Much of the campground is nice, but if you can't even get your bathrooms to be reasonable, what are you doing?

We had a back in, full hookup site. The sites were narrow, but long. So there wasn't a ton of space between campers, but it wasn't bad because we had the space behind our camper. You need about 50ft of water hose. Beach and playgrounds were nice. Campground is huge. The couple staff members that we talked to were friendly and helpful. Decorations were cute. They had dance parties every night, but we didn't go, my kids would rather ride bikes. The website says NO electric scooters so my kids didn't bring theirs. But everybody had them, so next time we probably will bring them I don't think that rule is enforced. We definitely plan on going back.

I really loved the fact that there's a lake as well as a pool. I really thought our cute rustic cabin that we rented out for 2 days was exactly as described and very convenient to have the stove and mini fridge. However, I was a little disappointed that we couldn't check in until 3:00, The day is halfway over, by the time we're done unpacking and such night time. And sensor is a mandatory today minimum say which we have to pay for, and have to check out by 11:00 a.m. on the final day it's as though we really only have one solid day of fun time to play outside and be in the Sun. We wanted to do many more of the activities but I don't understand my checking can't be a little bit earlier. I mean, the staff comes to check and verify that we have already cleaned up the cabin spic and span at 11:00, therefore it should be ready for the next occupant by noon at the latest. I'm just saying, I would be much more inclined to come back if I could have an earlier check in for the at the rustic cabins at least... So there's more time to enjoy day late hours. Otherwise an overall great experience

I enjoyed Camp Dearborn. As a first time visitor the staff was helpful and friendly. I felt safe seeing security and Michigan State Troopers patrol the grounds -- a beautiful, clean campground with beaches and fishing lakes! I look forward to returning. Keep it up Camp Dearborn!!

It’s camp Dearborn, it don’t get better then this ! Combines nostalgia for us Gen Xers and Boomers with modern campsite hooked ups we all come to require.

I think I already posted. We enjoyed the park. It's showing it's age but clearly was quite grand in the past. Still a very nice park especially for a public park. We were disappointed that the comfort station we specifically asked to be near was already winterized and closed, after the initial disappointment we adjusted and had a very enjoyable stay. The Halloween weekend activities were great. We got a kick out of all the trick or treaters, we don't get any at home in our rural neighborhood. We didn't come for Halloween but had fun with it. We will probably visit Camp Dearborn again next season.

My family and I have vacationed here annually, and we have been doing this for generations. I love this place, we all do. It is undoubtedly the best campground I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Great location, great staff, great times. Camp Dearborn is the absolute best. If you have never been I strongly recommend you plan a visit. For me, it’s the best place on earth.

We love Camp Dearborn! Yes it is rustic, and this year they’re dealing with less staff than they’ve had in previous years, as all businesses are right now. But they have done an outstanding job considering. My husband and I have traveled all over the world, but there is nothing like our week at Camp Dearborn with our family. And just relaxing and enjoying the outdoors..
