This was a perfect overnight stay, quiet and peaceful park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to the interstate. Nice touch to have a restaurant on-site after a long drive. Being off season, it was very quiet. We recommend this park if you travel through the area.

Amazing place! People, setting and location were excellent! Would definitely stay here again for a longer stay! Level sites, clean restrooms, convenient amenities such as a little restaurant and store. Manager made a fresh pot of coffee (free) for me!

Nice wooded sites with easy in and out access and some of the sites overlooking the lake. The campground was near enough the town for easy shopping yet it was very quiet. The staff was very helpful. I wished I had tried their pizza but I didn't have the time. I'll certainly stay there again if in the area.

Lakewood Campground has incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. The campground itself is very clean and conveniently located with easy access from the interstate. Fatso’s Pizza, located right on the property, is a great choice for dinner — delicious and convenient! Don’t forget to bring your fishing poles and enjoy some time at their private lake. A great spot for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

I was in the area for a dog trial and this was the perfect spot for overnight before and after with my little camper. I had a peaceful scenic site that the staff picked out for me. Everyone was very friendly and a big plus was on-site pizza made to order and hand scooped ice cream including a pup cup. It is not a big campground but that was part of the charm for me!

Excellent campground along I 70. Road noise but to be expected as it is an easy stop when travelling along the interstate. We had a lovely site backed onto the lake with beautiful mature trees. Helpful staff, especially Maddie! Not having travelled middle America often, we had never experienced a tornado warning but when the sirens went off (oh my!), the staff handled it efficiently and calmly and there was a safe space to honker down. Highly recommend.

Camp Lakewood was an In-N-Out for us. Very nice campground, dog friendly and I thought it was cool. They had a dock in the lake for the Campers to use if they like. Fatso pizza at the campground was very good. I accidentally made my reservations for the wrong day and she was able to fit us in

Pulled into the park. The staff were very friendly. Went to park in assigned spot that was to small, so we went back to the office and the staff apologized and quickly moved us to another beautiful spot. The park is well cared for, the pizza shop they had was great. They’re currently putting up new playground equipment which is great to see. Overall a 5 star rating and we will visit again.

What a great place to pullover for a night or to stay longer! The people were amazing friendly and went out of their way to make us feel so welcoming. We ordered a pizza for dinner ( it was delicious) and they even delivered it to our site! What a nice treat not having to cook or try to find a nice restaurant! We would 100% suggest you try them out!

We stopped at Camp Lakewood on our way through Effingham, IL and I am so glad we found this wonderful gem. Heather gave us exceptional customer service and was so friendly and helpful. Great site, wonderful views and all of the staff treated us like we were friends and family. We will definitely be staying at Camp Lakewood again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Very nice place! We stayed a night during the winter on our way home from Florida. This place is very well maintained and a beautiful park setting. We stayed in our RV. Very pleasant experience and will return.

We stayed here over Christmas and it was perfect. The bathrooms were immaculate, our spots hookups were in great working order and the spot nice. We were able to spend a lot of time on the pier which had a picnic table, and saw an eagle on several occasions. It was a great weekend and would not hesitate to stay again.

This is a wonderful campground. The lake is beautiful and the people who work there are outstanding. Jennifer was especially helpful. We are a camping club and she went out of her way to make sure our visit was good. All sites are pull through and FHU. Easy on and off the interstates. Even though it was close to interstate, we were not bothered by the noise. We will definitely put this Camp Lakewood on our list to visit again. MR
