We just got back from a 4 day camping stay at Camp Taylor. We have been coming here for many years now, and usually we come twice a year. The Campground lost power due to a car accident down the street that took out 3 transformers. This did not really effect us except for the bathroom facilities. They owners jumped right on this issue and went and grabbed a generator and hooked it up to the pump house to allow the water facilities to work. As awlays we were very happy with our time here. We saw the toddler bears a few times, so cute and they just keep to themselves, the deer as usual were so friendly coming to say hello and then moving along. We appreciate the tuck in at night from the staff last rounds to make sure we are all good. We will be back in the fall!!!!

Roma and I have been to many campgrounds and camp Taylor is by far the best. Where should I start? How about reception? The gentleman working the front desk was very nice and professional. The campsite was spacious. The campground is very close to mt. Tammany and multiple farm stores. Roma and I look forward to returning to camp Taylor!

My friend has been a very long time camper here and a couple years ago, she bought her first camper and decided to get a seasonal site here. She loves it. So, I bought a new camper as well and guess what, I got a seasonal site too! I stayed my first weekend and I'm in love. I started by hooking up and leveling my camper. Stayed for the weekend, met many neighbors, stack a bunch of wood (still not done) and enjoyed my stay. The owners and staff also take the time to know your name and your habits, was nice to walk in and they say "hi Paige".

Our experience at Camp Taylor was extremely disappointing. The facilities were poorly maintained—bathrooms were dirty, showers barely worked, and our campsite had trash left behind from previous visitors. But what really ruined the trip was the behavior of the owners. They were shockingly rude, speaking to guests in a condescending and aggressive tone whenever concerns were brought up. Instead of addressing issues professionally, they acted like we were inconveniencing them just by asking simple questions. It created a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone. We came for a relaxing nature getaway and left feeling stressed and frustrated. I would not recommend Camp Taylor to anyone, especially families or first-time campers. There are plenty of other places that actually care about their guests. One of the most alarming parts of our stay at Camp Taylor was the frequent presence of bears wandering around the campground. We saw them multiple times near campsites, including ours, which was incredibly unsettling—especially since we had children with us. There were no clear warnings or proper safety measures in place. When we expressed our concerns, instead of addressing the issue, the owners actually yelled at us for not “knowing the rules.” They were rude and dismissive, blaming us instead of taking responsibility for guest safety. It was shocking and completely unprofessional. We didn’t feel safe or respected at all during our time there.

It’s a beautiful rustic campground. Perfect for the outdoors experience. Plenty of hiking, fishing and mountain biking in the area. You can hike to Mt Tammany straight from the campground. I’ve been taking my family there for probably the past 15 years almost every year. The one star reviews reflect the bad apples that come to party hard and break rules. I’ve never had a I’ve never had an issue, not once. Trust me, You can have plenty of fun there as long as you’re respectful like you’re supposed to be.

Nice property and cabins, especially with the wolf/bobcat preserve. It’s a long walk up hill, so some folks will need to take the shuttle. Employees/rules seemed overly restrictive and uptight, but maybe that’s required in NJ. I go camping to get away from that stuff, so I’ll probably stay elsewhere in the future. No offense..

Very friendly family run campground. They welcomed me in immediately and the cabins and campsites are clean. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly too. Plus you get to walk up and see the wolves at the nearby Lakota Wolf Preserve. Pet friendly as long as your dog is quiet and you are responsible enough to pick up after it. The hardwood firewood is harvested on site and burns well. I have been here several times and this campground is quickly becoming my go-to spot!

This was my first visit to Camp Taylor. Invited by friends. Turns out this is a great campground, we had a great site # 51, well shaded very clean. Office staff were friendly and answered all our questions. Nice swimming lake, and a nine hole putt putt course. The rest room is clean and well kept. I will definitely return.

So far so good. Nice, clean Campground. Great access to Mount Tammany, but very strenuous hike through the mountains. You just to be aware of the steepness so you can be prepared for it. I'm staying in one of there deluxe cabins. It's very clean and well maintained. There are tents and RVs sites as well. Oh, they also have rustic cabins. I definitely would like to come back for some tent camping in the future⛺. Great family location!

My wife and I love this place. It's so relaxing listening to the wolves while camping.
