Unfortunately this place had gotten severely crowded. The sites used to be "spacious". We used to enjoy the waterfront sites, and comfort of our space. This place was our favoriteplace, and we would camp there very frequently. Now that the sites have been downsized and another camper literally right on top of yours, due to this issue, it has taken our interests away to camp there... (The Northern Peaks, Spacious Skies) to another campground that we enjoy greatly and we became a seasonal at our new found campground). Basically one site has been made up for 2 sites. Sadly, we have chosen to camp elsewhere, where there is space to relax, play a game.. cornhole, etc. and converse with family and friends without having unknown others invading our privacy. The last time we had camped here in 2024, another camper arrived and we had to pull in our canopy and felt very invaded. We walked out of our camper door and were literally walking into the other camper. Our dogs had no space while being tied out, either. We were afraid to have a fire in the pit due to fear of the other campers trailer. Why ruin a good thing? So sad!

We stayed the whole month of October for the Gas and Chill program and had such a great time! It was awesome being able to leave our camper and just come up on the weekends. Big shoutout to Eric and Becca — they’re doing an amazing job planning activities and running everything. They really make sure everyone’s having fun and things go smoothly. We had a blast and will definitely be back another time!

This is a FANTASTIC campground! We had such a great time visiting this fall. The amenities were great and my kids LOVED the kid friendly activities available to them onsite. Our hosts, Eric and Becca, were particularly great making sure we had everything we needed and that our stay was comfortable!

Highways on each side and a road on another side. If you tent camp, this is all you will hear. We got a site near the river and it was very under whelming. Pool was already closed for the season, but we didn't know until we got there. They must have staying issues, because they closed before hours. Another restroom and shower in the back part of the camp would be nice. The restrooms closest to the back are super tiny and you can literally rest your head on the door when you sit down. The showers are push button every 13 seconds and alternates from cool to cold water. I later learned showers near the office are a turn handle and warm. Camping sites are reasonably sized, but you are close to others. Lots of seasonal campers here. I really didn't like the fire pit. There's a lot of pine needles on the ground right now and it's been dry. There's nothing to keep embers from flying out or a way to cook over the fire. The pits are also open on the bottom in a lot of areas. Restrooms and showers could definitely use some maintenance. Leaky and runny toilets, hand dryers didn't work, etc. Staff were friendly though.

Stayed a week on a tent site. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Pool was clean. Grandchildren enjoyed the playground and the jump pillow. Store could use a better variety but other than that. Had a very relaxing and enjoyable week.

We had a great weekend! The boys and dogs loved playing in the river, sites were neat and tidy, and the pool was an added bonus. The kids loved bingo, and won a free snack from the snack bar (which was delicious.) The staff, Rebecca and Eric, were both extremely friendly and welcoming. They made it a great stay!

This place is absolutely adorable! They send you welcome texts and daily texts with a menu of fun events for the day! The pool closes at 5 but if you ask nicely they may keep it open for you! Best bathrooms I've been in camping! Tent sites, RVs, cabins, and yurts!! A huge jumping bouncy thing for kids. Very kid friendly. Just around the bend from Hay Fields Antique Market and up the hill from Frontier Town. 10/10 would recommend. Already have plans for our next visit! Thank you Lindsey!!

Great place here. Tons of stuff to do. Extremely dog friendly. We had a tent site out back right next to the river. Quiet at night, bustling with kids having fun during the day. Just what camping is meant to be like. I was there as a vendor from the Brimfield Antique show this past weekend and once I find out the dates for next year, booking it again...! Lyndsay (the manager) was so accommodating, keeping the pool open a little later for us vendors on the super hot days. Love the text messages of the days events also. So close to all the trails and beautiful views.

This was our second time staying in a two bedroom cabin. The staff are extremely friendly. The campground is also dog friendly. There are many amenities, such as pools, jump, pillow , arcade and miniature golf, also Gem mining . They have many planned activities and a little train that takes the kids on a ride and adults throughout the park. There is a river and a beach . They have done a lot of upgrades since I last came, which was a year ago.. manager Lindsay and her staff I can’t say enough nice things about all of them. The shower houses and bathrooms are very clean . We will be back.!! Thanks again for a fantastic trip

My wife and I were looking for a campground near Indian Head Vista hike and found Camp Tin Box. We stayed in one of their couples yurts! It was an amazing experience. The yurt was clean and had all necessary amenities. Check-in/checkout was so easy and bathroom/shower facility was clean.

We spent 3 nights in one of the yurts at Camp Tin Box. The bed in the yurt was very comfortable, and the campground itself was quiet and conveniently off of Route 87. We slept soundly all 3 nights. When we got into the yurt the surfaces had a bit of dirt on them, but, like, you're in the woods. If you were regular tent camping, you'd have WAY MORE dirt on everything. I'd just recommend wiping stuff down with a paper towel or sanitizing wipe. 2 of the 4 showers were out of order, but the 2 that worked were nice and warm with good pressure! It's clear that the folks who took over this once Jellystone park are putting love and care into this place as they slowly make it their own. Camp Tin Box is worth a stay if you find yourself in the area!

Stayed there for a week. During the week everything is pretty quiet within the campground, however, would not recommend staying on a riverfront site Rte 87 is just across the river and can hear trucks and state police helicopters all night. Extremely small sites. They had a great photographer take pictures for them. What you see on the website is actually two sites together. Weekends they do not enforce quiet time. Not a super clean campground. Bathrooms, pools, sites. When we arrived I picked up papers, and assorted things off the ground plus our fire ring had charcoal in it that had been dumped in it. Most of the staff were very pleasant. Wood and ice delivered quickly. A lot of activities for kids. Very dog friendly.
