Campbells Green Oasis Campground

Overview

Campbells Green Oasis Campground serves as a peaceful retreat for RVers traveling through the Big Horn Basin of northern Wyoming. Known for its mature shade trees, the park offers a lush environment that contrasts beautifully with the surrounding high-desert landscape. This family-operated facility provides a welcoming atmosphere for those seeking a reliable and quiet place to rest during their western adventures. It is a well-regarded spot for travelers who appreciate a smaller, more personal camping experience compared to larger national chains.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in the charming town of Greybull, the park is conveniently located at the junction of U.S. Highways 14, 16, and 20. The surrounding area is defined by the striking Big Horn Mountains and unique geological formations found throughout the basin. The landscape transitions from the colorful painted hills to the rugged peaks of the Bighorn range just a short drive away. Its central location makes it an ideal base camp for exploring the expansive wilderness of northern Wyoming while remaining close to local town conveniences.

Amenities & Park Features

The campground features well-maintained sites equipped with full hookups and 30/50 amp electrical service. Many of the sites are designed as pull-throughs to accommodate larger rigs with ease. On-site facilities include clean restrooms, hot showers, and laundry equipment to ensure a comfortable stay. Guests often appreciate the lush grass and canopy of trees, which provide much-needed relief from the summer sun in this arid region. The park is also pet-friendly, allowing your travel companions to enjoy the well-kept grassy areas.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Travelers can easily access the scenic beauty of the Bighorn National Forest or visit the thunderous waters of Shell Falls. History buffs will enjoy the Greybull Museum and the nearby Bighorn Basin Geoscience Center, which features local dinosaur fossils and aviation history. For a unique day trip, the Ancient Medicine Wheel offers a spiritual perspective on the high mountain peaks. The Devils Kitchen and other geological wonders are just minutes away, offering endless opportunities for photography and exploration.

Who This Park Is Best For

Level pull through spaces with full hookups. Bathrooms are clean and stocked. Coin laundry right across the street. Dog friendly, a dog park 1 mile away. Camp host is very friendly.

Very clean campground, very convenient sign-in, super nice owner. The bath house is the nicest place to take a shower, (and everything else) that I've ever experienced at a campground, in my life. The price is right, and it's in the lovely town of Greybull, WY - friendly & pleasant in it's own way. Also, it's right across the street from an excellent laundromat. Most excellent! I'll be back, next time we're up here.

This camp is a very small city campground. Owners are very friendly. Bathroom and shower building is modern and very clean. Trash disposal is limited and laundry is across street. Pets are not allowed to eliminate on the green grass, hence Green Oasis.... The train sounds at night and the test of the warning siren at 9:30 every night was disturbing. Nice place if you you can get past the noise.

Got to stay there this summer. Super nice and friendly owners on site. Level sites and easy hookups and lots of trees for shade. If you want a snack or dinner A&W is right across the street. I highly recommend this campground.
