I would give them a zero. We had family check in late Sunday night after flying in from Alaska, kicked out Monday morning for violating a "rule" that they were never notified about while checking in. Apparently guests have to pay $1 each time they visit. No problem if ya let people know. She had one cousin come there to try and help her with a ride situation. The owners come in screaming and yelling about this "rule" and tell her and her 4 children to leave, and threaten to call the cops. Even though she never yelled back, the owners were being irrational and refused to refund $300 for the week. Shame on these people displacing a family of 5 visiting from Alaska. What a bunch trash running this place, can't even talk to people. Just rip single mothers off and scream at them. Literally highway robbery as this place sits next to US 31.

Our overall experience with this campground was good! We read all the reviews online before we came and almost decided to not come. I’m glad we came to see what it was all about. The speed limit is strictly enforced, but we had no trouble at all. The owner was great! Again, we didn’t have the experiences that other had at this campground. The road noise is loud, but not terrible. Very quiet campground overall. The facilities are outdated but CLEAN! We will definitely be back!

Camped here in the 70s 80s 90s the place was great. Everyone got along well the owners were the best. Had pool, min golf, horseshoe court, and shuffleboard. I guess people come an go and times change. 6 $ a night got you a great time. Some good memories. Best of luck to Camper's Paradise.

I have never left a review before on anything as I have never felt the need to, but I have never been so disrespected EVER. After checking in at the front desk, I drove towards the campsite. It was then that my friend and I noticed loud yelling coming from a site that we had passed. An older man and woman chased my car down, all while screaming at me incomprehensibly. They surrounded my car on both the drivers side and passenger side and parked a golf cart in front of my car. I was trapped, confused, and honestly quite scared. These people did not introduce themselves, and they harassed me and my friend for going no more than 10mph when the speed limit was 5mph, which I was unaware of at the time. They then asked for my information. After I asked who they were, they said they were the owners. Based on how they were talking to me, I did not believe it. They escorted us out of the park (going 7mph). I stopped to talk with the front desk lady to verify their identity. Shockingly, she did confirm the man standing next to me was the owner. The owner continued to berate me and refused to give me a refund. I later received a call from the county sheriff saying I was banned. If you make the mistake of making reservations for this hell hole as I did, just know you can dispute the chargers if you paid with a card. Also, I am reporting them to the BBB and Grand Haven Tourism. Please do not make the mistake I did.

Do not go here! The camp employee's are overbearing. They have a 5 mile pre hour speed limit which is really slow. Now, one should not rip through a camp ground going 30mph for sure. It hard to go 5mph. 10 to15mph is a reasonable speed. Now that said they actually chase you down if you going 10 mph and dress you down. The lady actually jumped in front of my brother in law's car and threatened to call the cops because he was going 15mph. Now the camp ground was empty. We were the only people in the park! We are retired teachers not partying college students! I was doing laundry and had to go to the rest room. Ok, don't laugh at me but I went into the men's by accident. I only realized this when the lady screamed into the restroom "Do you know you are in the men's room!?" I answered as I was on the John, "I do now. She waited for me and dressed me down for this mistake. Now remember we are the only people in the park! I know she actually thought I went in there on purpose. They have too much time on there hands. Also it is pretty, but located on M31 so traffic noise is bad. No sewer at sites. It had clean bathrooms...even the men's. I have never been harassed so much at a camp ground. If you a pleasant camping trip don't go here!

This park is located next to the highway, you will get highway noise. The operators of the park strictly enforce the speed limit, you basically idle around the park. If you don't follow the speed limit they will chase after you in their golf cart. Aside from those oddities, the place is clean but dated. We did not use their shower, as they have water and electricity. The location is good and price is good if you have passport America. The sites are level and have nice large shade trees on most sites. During the week the Wi-Fi worked well not so much on the weekend when they had more people. The grass is will maintained and the campground is very tidy. I would recommend spending a few moments talking with the operators it will make your life easier.

I made the reservation before checking reviews. Glad I did because I probably wouldn't have stayed here from what I was reading. Well, we had a great time. Stayed two nights over the memorial day weekend. Yes, they are sticklers for rules. I did see the owner ask neighbors to move their stove off of the picnic table and talk to a car that was going too fast. Just be respectful and you'll have a fine time. The restrooms are older, but very clean. Showers are tiled and the water was clean and hot. Firewood was $5 and lasted about 4 hours. Free wifi (ask for the password), water and electricity at every site as well as access to downtown or the beach a five minute drive away. Yep, it was jammed in between the 55mph Highway 31 and railroad tracks. I never once heard a train go by, but the traffic is loud. We slept fine, you end up tuning it out. The pool has been cemented in, but again.. beach. I would stay here again.
