The staff was accomodating and helpfull, though the outdated facilities were cramped and need major renovations and the sites and road were very muddy and not car friendly unfortunately. No potable water is available on site either aside from jugs they sell, and the wood was very hard to light (wet/green).

One of the most beautiful campsite I’ve ever stayed at. They ask you “Sunrise or Sunset?” when you check in. The property is on the tip of the island, jutting into the river, so this campground is just miles of wild, natural coastline - and the campsites are right there, on the water. They also have sites in the forest - and one cute mini hut. All the sites are HUGE, they could easily jam in twice the number of sites and still have room to spare. Best of all? Just tents and small trailers at this site, as it is on protected land.

We really liked our tent spot as it had a lot of pricacy and we really enjoyed all the trees surrounding the campground. The staff was also really friendly and welcoming. But the washrooms… I have honestly never seen washrooms like this. It looks like they have never been cleaned and they were just invested by bugs, especially moths. While there was a sign that the doors should always be closes, no one, neither campers nor the staff, cared about this. The doors were constantly open and the lights were on, which resulted in a moth nightmare. You can’t even go inside the building without getting swarmed by moths. I don’t have any pictures of the toilet stalls but they were even worse than the sinks…

What a brilliant experience! I'm so grateful on our road trip they had last minute availability. The desk hand- Eric, truly made this experience the best part. He had the funniest sense of humor, and took the time to help us find a great spot. I could tell we were being picky, but he handled us with the utmost grace, and went above 5star customer service! The wooded areas were so private and beautiful. We picked a spot close to the water, on the north shore, and wow what a beauty! Had access to potable water and the toilets were clean. Bought some wood on site. I'm usually a back country camper, having to clear my own area, and search for wood, etc... so anyone complaining about camping in general probably shouldn't be camping at all, LOL. Thank you Eric!!!! The only advice I would give is fill the lane with gravel maybe to help the water on the road, and ensure the campsites have enough space to accommodate tent, picnic table, fit pit and vehicle with appropriate clearances.
