I love it because it's not far from Victoriaville and it's perfect for a change of scenery without driving for hours. I prefer sites near the water, with direct access to the lake by kayak. I've used the Sylva ready-to-camp site twice, which I really like. But we also go there in a trailer. The owners are really welcoming, helpful, and attentive. A very nice place to take a "break" at any time. Since I like peace and quiet, I often opt for times when there are fewer people at the campsite. I prefer the quiet side to the activities. But there are also many activities and entertainment offered. There's something for everyone :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We love this campsite! The facilities are very well maintained, the Wi-Fi works perfectly, and the lake is magnificent for fishing. The boat ramp is super convenient, and you can even rent a pontoon to leave your boat on, which is really appreciated. It's an incredibly peaceful place, perfect for relaxing. The owners are really friendly, kind, and always attentive. It's my parents' favorite campsite, and we return every year... sometimes even several times a season because we love it so much. A true little corner of paradise that we 100% recommend!

I had the chance to stay at Camping des Bois-Francs, in the SYLVA ready-to-camp site, from August 9 to 17, 2025, and I have to say it was my best vacation in a long time. I simply loved the ready-to-camp site: comfortable, clean, and welcoming. My expectations were met very well, and whenever I needed something, I was quickly helped. There were a few things missing at first, but they were provided as soon as I asked. The welcome was wonderful, both from the owners and the seasonal workers. Everyone is friendly and attentive. A special thank you to Josée, a very kind seasonal worker, and Geneviève, who made my stay even more enjoyable. The activities are varied, enjoyable, and create a wonderful, friendly atmosphere. The site is simply magnificent: located on Lake Joseph, with a navigable lake and peaceful surroundings, it's a true gem. I left with a heart full of gratitude and a feeling of having recharged my batteries. I highly recommend this campsite to everyone. The owners are extraordinary, the seasonal workers are welcoming, and the place exudes happiness. In fact, sooner or later, I would like to become a seasonal worker at Camping des Bois-Francs myself. It would be a great privilege to be part of such a warm community, in such an enchanting setting.

The owners do everything they can to keep the campground clean and inviting. The lake water is good for swimming, and the pool is always pleasant. We were able to spot a bald eagle nest nearby during a canoe trip. They also have ready-to-camp sites! I highly recommend it!

Bad info: that sums up our stay at this campsite. Before booking, I asked if the atmosphere was generally calm and that we didn't want a clientele of party campers. The owner told us "no" and people are walking around (ok, that's okay). We also wanted toilets close to our site. On the plan, there was a nearby toilet. We arrive on site, these toilets are closed for COVID. Something no one told me on the phone when I asked about the proximity of the toilets. We have to go to the sanitary block further. 2nd evening: regional RV gathering with super loud music on big speakers until 10:30 pm ?! Even other campers were talking that this volume would be banned at other campsites. There was little availability left when we booked, so they knew there was a gathering planned. Why not advise us to change the dates if we wanted calm? We left the next morning instead of staying for our extra night. We've had enough! Unpleasant! When we ask if it's quiet, we are not just talking at curfew. In the middle of what we wanted to avoid as a camping trip. Nothing is more frustrating than being misled, when we had clearly expressed our needs over the phone. I put 2 stars for the beautiful view of the lake, as we were looking for at the start. Huge disappointment!

Beautiful campsite, lots of trees, swimming pool games and water sports. Friendly owner, below par price. No cellular network but paid Wi-Fi which is passable. Nice experience.
