The campsite itself looks good at a glance, but definitely needs some maintenance when you look closer. The campground is split in 2 by a few pedestrian bridges, but no way to a get a car across without exiting and using a side entrance. Their speed bumps are so bad, one of them damaged the underside of my car. Lots of activities on the site for kids and while a couple of big hills, it is great for cycling - just like the surrounding area. They do extra activities and celebrations on Saturdays. Plenty of mountain trails to walk as well if you can handle the terrain. A couple of caveats - their tent areas are very dense and some are not very dark - RVs are not affected but I'd skip this place if in a tent. Also, if you can, avoid the 'east' side near the Route 329 - it's a busy road that can get noisy. Many parts of the campground have terrible cell reception and WIFI is only available at the entrance or the center building. There is no pool - you have to cross a public road to go a to public beach and remember to bring your beach pass. The lake is nice, but the water is cold. Finally, the staff - they seems to only care when you were buying something. Otherwise, you were a burden to them and didn't want you using the WIFI at the entrance.

We've been there for 3 days only (friday to sunday) but it was enough to not coming back again. Fisrt of all campgrounds are suppossed to be away from civilization, our spot was next to the highway hearing all the cars when passing across. Second (and the most important), the whole camping experience is meant to be in touch with nature, quiet, peace...Saturday, the music from the beach or lake or whatever that it started at 10am until 11PM!!!! One hour it's "fine" if it's not too loud but more than 10 hours straight non stop with loud music is just unacceptable. We were so fed up of the noise that we ended leaving the place before. Bathrooms were in poor conditions, not well maintained nor clean. Oh no, not recommeded for those seeking for a decent, silent and peaceful spot.

Tents spots were great and wides but my friend had an inexistant firepit even if the reservation mentioned so... Service (before the gate) 5 stars But the employees on the campground were rude and unable to give any help, barely looking at you, so it drops to 3. If you need a map to drive around the place, they should be able to give directions other than go up or go down... Easy reservations online Great selection of familial activities, they rent sup boards, kayaks, pedalos. The beach is nice, on pebbles but rapidly crowded as it also serves as municipal beach. Plan your visit according to this because the parking fills fast. Our only bad point would be the cleaning of the public restroom: inexistant I am unsure if anyone came to clean them the entire time of our stay. Floor dirty and always wet no matter what, but no mopping ever done. Basket full of papers. It's sad as all the rest of the campground is the complete opposite.

Natalie was a big help ! On April 30th we came through on our journey across Canada in a RV - being very early in the season it was hard to find campgrounds that were full service and open as some nights got pretty cold and some areas were still winterized. We were able to shower and do some laundry here while we showered - the water was really hot and the water pressure was crazy good. The washer and dryer worked well and the staff were all very accommodating and for multiple reasons we kinda fell in love with St. Agathe during our short stay. What a beautiful town !
