Second time staying overnight while passing through. Employees at the front gate are very friendly. Park very well kept and during both our stays it’s was quiet. The reason for 2 stars is because we were given site 420. We were arriving after close so an envelope was left in the black box with our gate fob and site info. I specifically asked if there would be someone we can call if there was an issue after close. I was advised the manager could be reached. When we arrived at site 420, there was another camper there who had paid an extra $17 to stay past checkout time. We called the manager twice. Left a message once and we never received a call back. This situation could have gone very badly if we had not been able to work it out with the friendly camper. They were getting ready to leave so we only had to wait 20 mins to be able to pull into the site we paid for. I mentioned it to the lady at the front gate when we were leaving but she didn’t acknowledge or offer an apology for the issue. I get it…. Accidents happen but how it’s rectified makes all the difference.

We stayed one night with our camper truck. It was the only camping place we could find in the area. Sites for non seasonal are wide, few trees, washrooms closest to our site.were closed for some reason. Next washrooms were a hike as the park is HUGE with mostly seasonal people. It was one of the highest priced campgrounds we stayed in from Halifax to Ottawa but you had to pay extra from showers. No garage cans close by, no where to walk our dog and zero scenery. It's a parking lot. Most unwelcoming place we stayed in 2 weeks.

Amazing service and willingness to put up with my limited French understanding. Very happy my ability to read French is better than my speaking as it allowed me to quickly read and understand the French COVID waiver form. (Thank you, Canada, for putting both languages on every label. ) Small tent site, but my Dakota and 4 person tent fit and the staff offered to let me park across the way as nobody would be camping there. Were I to return, a map of the fastest walking/biking path to reach the Saint Lawrence would be appreciated. I wasn't the only person who walked down only to invade, momentarily, the private property(???) at the bottom of the hill across the road.
