Overview

Overview

Travelers navigating the Montérégie region will find Camping Premier situated right in Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, QC. This destination reflects the rolling agricultural plains and border-adjacent character of southwestern Quebec, serving as a practical base for road-trippers crossing the international frontier or exploring the rural landscapes south of Montreal.

Location & Surroundings

Positioned near the Canada-United States border, Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle sits along major transit corridors like Highway 15, making it a frequent stop for drivers moving between New York State and Quebec. The surrounding terrain consists of flat farmland, open fields, and nearby patches of mixed forest, influenced by the continental climate of the St. Lawrence Lowlands with warm summers and brisk autumns.

Amenities & Park Features

Because specific on-site infrastructure details are not universally documented, visitors should contact management directly to verify utility hookups, water availability, and pull-through capability. Travelers should anticipate typical rural campground layouts and inquire ahead about specific operational dates, site gravel pads, and sanitation station access before arrival.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The local area provides easy access to the orchards of Rougemont, the historic sites of Napierville, and the waters of the Richelieu River corridor. Outdoor enthusiasts can take day trips to the ecological reserves of the Monteregian Hills or drive north toward Montreal to experience the urban culture, museums, and the historic Vieux-Port district.

Who This Park Is Best For

This location suits transit RVers seeking a straightforward overnight halt near the international border, as well as road-trippers interested in exploring the rural heritage of Montérégie. It offers a convenient launchpad for those prioritizing regional accessibility over remote wilderness isolation.

Currently being used by the border officials to house trailers which they allow those crossing the border in order to seek refugee / asylum status. This road is open to drive by, but you can't park or they will tell you to leave.
