Overview
Overview
Camping Saint-Joseph de Beauce in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce, QC places travelers right along the historic Chaudière River valley in southern Quebec. This campground offers a basecamp defined by its provincial river setting, characteristic rolling agricultural hills, and the distinct regional culture of the Beauce. Visitors here experience a traditional French-Canadian countryside atmosphere that feels worlds away from the major urban centers, yet remains accessible for road-trippers navigating regional corridors.
Location & Surroundings
Travelers arrive at this destination via Route 173 or nearby autoroutes connecting Quebec City to the northern Maine border. The surrounding terrain features the wide, fertile valleys of the Chaudière River and the undulating Appalachian foothills. Summers bring warm, humid days and pleasant evenings ideal for outdoor living, while autumn transforms the dense mixed forests into vibrant displays of red and gold.
Amenities & Park Features
Because specific on-site infrastructure details are not universally documented, visitors should contact Camping Saint-Joseph de Beauce directly to confirm exact site dimensions, electrical hookup capacities, water access, and waste disposal stations. General inquiries should also cover seasonal operating dates, shaded versus open terrain preferences, and specific vehicle length accommodations before arrival to ensure a smooth check-in process.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the nearby Véloroute de la Chaudière, a scenic cycling and walking path following the riverbanks through local communities. History buffs can tour the nearby heritage sites of the Beauce region, including local maple sugar shacks, historical churches, and regional museums. Day trips north lead easily to the fortifications and European architecture of historic Quebec City, roughly an hour away.
Who This Park Is Best For
This destination suits road-trippers, cultural explorers, and families seeking an authentic taste of rural Quebec countryside life rather than resort-style flashiness. It works well as a staging ground for cyclists tackling regional trails or as a quiet retreat for travelers transiting between the Saint Lawrence River valley and the New England borderlands.

Although this campground may not be the most popular for teenagers it will be greatly appreciated by families with young children and couples. No golf carts here! Has all the necessary amenities with great pool and well maintained playgrounds. We especially enjoyed the public areas, small parks, benches to have a coffee and conteplate the river which rounds alonside the campground. Our site had full services and was more than suitable for our 38' class A. Of special note this campground is an oasis for tent and tent trailer campers which have a choice of excellent site locations.

Nice place but did not have access to internet on our site and the heated pool was closed both days we were there (June 23-24) which was very disappointing.

This camping ground is close to home and we went here for the first time! Great campsite, friendly staff! The camping site for tents are awesome spots!!!! The river is such a treat to explore! This camp became one of my favorites! But the best thing for us is.... you can park your vehicle beside your campsite!

Drive slowly here! One of the best maintained campground I've seen, especially for this size. It's a small, family owned and operated camping. Public commodities look clean and smell clean! They have a water treatment system providing drinking water. The site itself is great for the family. The pool is on the small side (supposedly fits 50,id say that's a bit optimistic) but there is also a pond with a nice stream. Water is colder of course, but the kids had a blast throwing rocks and building a water treatment dam! Highly recommended if you're around. There is a blueberry field near where we saw the biggest specimens ever. Tasty!
