I would give negative stars if possible....Had a rv inspected here for another company. My advise, DONT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING MUCH LESS INSPECTIONS. We were guaranteed a 24 hour inspection then an offer from good sam. Well, come 72 hours later they still hadn't inspected it. Called the person I was working with at good sam and come to find out they had sent 4 messages to them to find out why the inspection wasn't done in the alloted time frame with NO answer from anyone. Finally they called this location (Calera) and spoke to the manager who said it would be completed by the end of the day. The next day I got an email from the good sam company stating they wouldn't buy my camper because it had failed the inspection. The camper is in good condition overall minus some cosmetic iasues, which any used camper will have. So, we had to travel all the way back to pick it up on our own dime again. To put a long story short the inspector, Andrez Maciel, must have been chewed out and decided to heck with us and failed almost everything on the camper. Heck we were even failed for a non existent back up camera (there was never one installed). A front door for a screen that popped out of the screen trim (easily fixable) and some scratches on it; the door works just fine mechanically functions great. Just dont make the same mistake I made, take it to a private inspector then you will probably beable to make a deal. If Camping World does it, you're guaranteed a big fat headache and a loss of money.

Where to begin with this place....Do yourself a favor and try out Burton Campers or another dealer. These people here will say just about anything, promise just about anything to make a sale. *UPDATE* I AM NOW AT OVER $3500 IN REPAIRS TO THIS 5TH WHEEL!! $2500 OF THAT IS JUST IN THE ROOF THAT BRANDI SAID WAS GOOD TO GO...JUST CHECK IT EVERY 6 MONTHS🤔🤔 I HAVE HAD TO NOW STAY IN A HOTEL WHILE THE REPAIRS ARE BEING DONE BECAUSE ACTUAL WOOD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IN THE MULTIPLE SOFT SPOTS FOUND.....WHICH IN TURN DO TO THE LEAKING ROOK HAS BEEN LINKED TO THE DRYROT THAT IS IN 2 OF THE 3 SLIDES..So to add to the multiple lies told to me to make this sale like....the trailer will be power washed, interior cleaned( black tank was full of previous owners waste( imagine that smell if you will when it was opened to hook up) as well as the inside of the toliet still had human fecal matter inside), the old mattress being replaced( they couldn't even dispose of the old one, let alone replace it as I was told they would do)....the more time that passes with this P.O.S, and the more crap that is found, the more ticked off I get. I will be reporting this buisness to the BBB.

Dealing with the Calera, AL Camping World for 2 years was all negative! They are only interested in selling campers and not providing any customer support/service after the sale, especially when it comes to warranty work. I do not recommend this dealership and here’s why. I purchased a new 2023 Keystone Passport travel trailer from them in August of 2023. The sales process dragged on for over an hour. Time wasted, we finally came to an agreement within $100 of what I had originally offered. I also purchase a new upgraded weight distribution hitch. Camping World installed the hitch. When I got home, something did not look right with the camper connected to my truck. The new hitch was not installed correctly causing an excessive amount of sag between the truck and trailer. I had to re-do what Camping World had installed, resulting in a level, properly installed weight distribution system. After about 9 months the A/C unit failed. I contacted the Calera Camping World since the unit was under warranty. The earliest service appointment was a week later. I dropped the camper off and was told it would be a looked at and diagnosed the next day. I asked for feedback on the status of repair but I NEVER got a call from them. I always had to call them to find out what was going on. The one thing they are very good at is excuses. During the 5 weeks they had my camper it was excuse after excuse as to the status of repairs. It seemed almost every time I called, no service rep was available or they were out sick or off that day. Leaving a message was a waste of time since no one ever returned my calls. After about a week, I was told that the A/C was bad and Keystone was shipping them one, but this was a lie. After another week or so, I spoke to one of the service reps. He told me that the Keystone factory was shut down for a week and they could not process any warranty work or ship a new A/C until they reopened. They have had the camper now for over 3 weeks. I contacted Keystone customer service directly. They were able to look up the work order info. Come to find out, the Keystone cabinetry shop was in a routine shutdown, but this had no impact on the parts warehouse or any warranty service actions. Keystone was able to tell me that Camping World was requested to provide them with some diagnostic test data the day after the initial work order was received over 3 weeks ago. Once the data was received they could ship out a new A/C unit, this requested data had not yet been provided to Keystone by Camping World. I asked if Keystone could reach out to the service department and help resolve the delay. Only after getting Keystone involved, did the A/C get replaced after 5 weeks in the shop. The same A/C unit failed after only 9 months. Without going through the entire experience, Calera’s service department had not improved. Again, never any updates unless I initiated the call, warranty processing issues, delays submitting data to Keystone, and excuse after excuse. It took over 3 weeks to get the camper back. In June 2025 we sold the camper. I purchased an extended warranty when we bought the unit and was due a refund per the extended service plan agreement. I contacted the Calera Camping World and submitted the forms and information required. After numerous phone calls to follow-up on the refund, I could never get straight answers on what was going on. Depending on who I spoke with I got different answers. One rep told me they’d have to follow-up because nothing was in the system showing a refund had been processed. I was told a refund should be received within 10 days, another rep told me it would be within 30 days, and still another told me within 90 days. After contacting the General Manager I was told the refund could take up to 90 business days. It was obvious that the excuses were standard practice and lack of customer service was just their way of doing business. It took 127 days from the time I requested a refund until I got check.

You can forget about getting a call or text back from these people. The only way to get an answer is to go to the dealership and stand in front of them and make them talk to you. You can forget about getting a quality vehicle from these people. I was told that we found the perfect vehicle for you and will have it delivered here so you can look at it. Told not to worry about the engine light being on, minor issue, and we'll take care of it. Don't worry about the tires being almost 10 years old, we'll get a used set in the warehouse and put them on for you. Folks, tires every 5-7 years period, it's not them running 65 down the interstate. Don't believe anything is minor, engine light required major engine overhaul, that they didn't want to pay for. Dealership directed by corporate to put us in different unit. That didn't happen either, couldn't get anyone to answer our calls or call us back. Don't waste your time at camping world in Calera, if you want a honest answer and quality vehicle. If you have an issue with your motorhome, don't rely on camping world, take it to Graves automotive in Calera and talk with Malcolm, he is not going to steer you wrong and will take care of you.

The sales manager went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience with Camping World. Our family had a terrible tragedy the day we were supposed to pick up our camper. Our family doggie got hit by a car and died right before we were supposed to go to camping world. Our family was a total mess that day and we ended up not taking the camper because of issues getting it hooked up to our SUV. Needless to say when we went back several of the sales team and the manager, Kris, treated us wonderful. They were so compassionate and understanding. They have made life long customers. Can’t thank them enough. May God Bless them!
