1st time camping here, stayed a weekend. Paved roads, both paved & gravel lots with power. There was a good mixture of RVs & tent campers. They do have cabins for rent too. Two bathhouses. Love the convenience of their camp store, the kids liked getting a ice cream treat, they have a few items to purchase if you should forget something & a big plus that they sell bags of ice should you need to continue to keep your cooler food cold. Campground staff were visible from time to time should you need something & it gave a sense of security. A gate at the front entrance that closed at night & a code provided should you need to get in later. Kids loved fishing, riding their bikes, scooters, etc on the paved road & trails, free putt-putt, several small playgrounds on site, open field to fly their kite, and the Day Use side on the other side of the lake has entertainment. Pet friendly. We would stay here again.

Beautiful place. Definitely a hidden gem in Waxhaw! They have pedal boats, kayaks, mini golf and a beach. You can pay $5 per person to have access to all activities or $2 each.

Beautiful park! Had a wonderful day out with the family, they enjoyed riding the the pedal boats and swimming at the beach area! The park was very clean and the workers were very friendly and helpful.

It's a quiet spot with lovely lake views in your backyard. Our 4th layover at this campground, when heading back to PA.

Full hook ups, some asphalt some dirt sites, pretty well level, most sights are along the lake, also it's quiet at night, but we were there on week days.

It has it all. A big, beautiful, prize bass lake. Miles of trails. Games and activities, including mini golf, paddle boats and canoes, shuffle board, volleyball, etc. Swimming in summer. Nice shelters, tables, etc. And it's only super busy on summer weekends. Many days it feel like one's private, 1000 acre park. Most recently I thoroughly enjoyed a 4 mile hike, including detour, on the trails you enter going. Lyft after you arrive. How is enchanted by the profuse chords? Rock distribution and other route cents and things to make the wall interesting and keep one in touch with the earth.

12+ miles of trails, an expansive lake, and quite a few playgrounds. The hours kind of stink and it could use a disc golf course! Edit one year later: They now have a disc golf course! Okay, since it worked last time, can we get some mountain bike specific trails? Some singletrack would be awesome! Edit four years later: We now have singletrack trails! Okay, since it worked twice, can we get some berms? :D

Best campground around! Great staff, great scenery. Please book a site or cabin or even a rustic site for a romantic or family outing. Scouts would have a great experience here . There are equestrian sites and a conference area for staff or professional development workshops.

This is a great place to camp! We RV but there are many tent sites as well. They have a “wilderness” area with nice tent areas. Some full hookup sites. Some water and electric. Beautiful lake. Fishing is best with a boat. Ducks, Canadian geese. Great people. Small store. The day use side has boat rentals, miniature golf, live bate, fishing licenses. Enjoy.

Wonderful open spaces. Weekends and holidays can see crowds in the summer but rarely are there lots of people on weekdays and during the winter. I love to go running here--safe! A year pass for local residents makes it very affordable.

Currently no activities are open but you can still fish and hike.
