We were disappointed with this campground. First of all all of the best sites are occupied by full time campers. So you will never get a spot on the lake. Secondly the sites are all supposed to be paved. This is not entirely true. Ours was partially paved. It had a huge square left unpaved with gravel instead which made it difficult to back into. Also, The spot happened to be right where you would place the rug. Then when it rained it turned into a mud hole. The internet is very spotty which can be frustrating while you are watching a movie. However, it is fairly quiet which was nice. And also very clean. Especially the bathhouses. I doubt we would ever stay here again but for the price I expected more.

Lived here for about a year. Owner Thomas is a real stand up guy. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to transition into a house in SC or just looking for cheap trailer/rv spot.

Caney Creek RV Resort is a beautiful campground/RV park situated on Watts Bar Lake. It is near the small town of Harriman TN. It has campsites on and off the water. The campsites are full hookups concrete and near level. Good spacing between the campsites off the water. The water sites are a bit closer together. The grounds are kept immaculate and very nice and clean facilities. They have nice docks to tie up your boat, pavilions, huge swimming pool, volleyball, fishing spots, very nice walking/golf cart trails. We really enjoyed our weekend trip to this resort and have it on our list to visit again.

Let’s begin, Day 1 check-in day So far so good nice lady in the front office checked us in no issues asked about golf carts they were all reserved no big deal. How about fire wood? Don’t sell ok well let’s go setup in our spot and relax… Day 2 Woke up to rain made breakfast rain cleared had a great time… after the rain stopped the kids decided to ride bikes no big deal. Till camp host in spot 89 ruined the trip. After reading and double checking the rule book about riding on the park grounds… we were informed to ride only on side walks and or behind the blind curve at check-in. So just to verify what the actual rules are for the 3rd time we decided to go to the office. At the office the super nice lady behind the counter had no idea and was super amazing about riding bikes and kids. Till the camp host from 89 came out from the back room raising her voice “it was me that said don’t ride in the road” so question where is it stated? “Again voice louder and more aggressive they just don’t need to ride bikes in the road stay on the side walk” but if we are out with them what rules are we breaking? Her “well then just get ran over” so no that we have had harm wished against us by the unprofessional camp host that lives in 89. It definitely put us in a ruined mood for camping the entire trip. Later that day the super nice lady behind the desk stated she is supposed to apologize in person formally and the main park management will be in touch to discuss our issues and the harm that we have now been put in. Will never my stay here again! Time for new camp host to move in and 89 is time to go. Day 3 After lunch now still no formal apology from camp host in 89 with her very rude and unprofessional comments wishing harm and families Still waiting on management to contact us and come by to discuss the disrespect we have received. Will continue to update till end of trip. Definitely do not plan on staying here if they do not make some changes with camp host 89. Rules that are broken through the park Speed limit Clutter around campers Kids under 16 driving golf carts If you post rules maybe you should enforce the rules that are listed on your paperwork
