Located in Mansfield, it's convenient to Boston and Providence. As an adult, my first experience at Canoe River was excellent. The campground is well kept, the pools (there are two) are kept in pristine condition, the staff is pleasant and responsive. I think there is a function room above the bath house that can be used, looks a good sized. I stayed here out of necessity and was pleasantly surprised. The store has anything you would need, even a phone booth where you can make free local calls. I was downtrodden, and was able to stack wood for extra cash. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone. Bring quarters for laundry and shower, and remember drying clothes is the expensive part - .25 for six minutes.

Regardless of the time of night /morning, I was told I could go to the desk and pay and get an access card after I got off of work. Which was 2 AM, The fact that someone answered and then proceeded to question whether or not I was aware of what time it is, seems more confrontational than welcoming and hospitable. 🤷♂️As I’m in a full uniform and just drove 45 minutes to this location at this time of the morning. Not going to be spoken down to with a facetious line of questioning, by someone at 2:30 in the morning.

This is a great little camp ground!!! It has laundry and a great pool and snack shack!!! Staff is very kind if you wanna get away it’s a great place! Not much in the way of cell service but that is part of its appeal!!!! They get it quiet by 10 pm and keep it clean!!!

Awesome experience! We loved it here. We stayed 2 night in 2 sites for tent camping and had a blast. Staff was very helpful, super friendly and extremely understanding. The pool was clean and well kept, the store had most of the things we forgot to bring with us. The bathrooms were a little dirty but what can you expect with so many people camping and using them. Overall awesome experience, we are definitely coming back! 9/10

Friendly family oriented campground. People here come back year after year, some for generations. There is a strong neighborhood feel, with lots of unpretentious working class people. This campground is well maintained, easy going, pet friendly, kid friendly, and will welcome you with open arms. Great playground for the kids, has a deep end pool and a shallow pool, offers fun activities like arts and crafts, candy bar bingo, karaoke, DJ dance nights, wild animal encounters, kids fishing contests, antique fire engine rides, horseshoes, and more. Great fishing for adults who love to fish, fish under the campgrounds license. Paddle boats and canoes for rent as well. Located on the calm and serene canoe river. Watch the fireflies, listen to the bullfrogs, take pics of the blue heron, and relax. They have laundry on site, showers, public restrooms, 30 and 50 amp hook ups, propane on site, sewer and water at every RV site, camp store where you can sendail and receive packages, ice machine, small cafe, small arcade, firewood.
