Beautiful. Such a gem. Great playground for the kiddos. Water mostly shallow. My only 'caution is that you definitely need to wear footwear or have weathered grippy feet for the rocky streambed, changes height a lot & slippery rocks! Well maintained, quiet, dogs able to swim, not very deep. Cool clear water.

During the week, expect to have nearly the whole park to yourself! Situated on the Applegate River, it is perfect for picnics, kids, picking blackberries, swimming, birding, fishing, and playing with dogs. Throughout the park are interpretive signs, Cheryl Garcia's beautiful sculptures, a little free library, a wonderful playground, little hiking trails, spawning salmon, tadpoles and lizards, and a plethora of wildflowers in the spring and summer.

Great place, though we did pick a day when there were three weddings going on. We found a secluded spot and had some snacks. Great river access with showers and clean facilities on the camping side. Lots of dogs, so it you're not a dog person, you've been warned
