Canyon Gateway Grand Canyon RV Park & Glamping
Overview
Canyon Gateway Grand Canyon RV Park & Glamping provides a high-desert retreat for travelers exploring Northern Arizona. Situated just outside the historic town of Williams, this park serves as a modern basecamp with a focus on convenience and comfort. Visitors can choose between traditional RV sites and unique glamping accommodations, all while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. The park maintains a clean, organized atmosphere that balances the rugged beauty of the Southwest with the essential services modern RVers expect.
Location & Surroundings
Located in Williams, AZ, known as the Gateway to the Grand Canyon, the park sits at an elevation that offers cooler temperatures than the desert floor. The property is surrounded by the Kaibab National Forest, providing a backdrop of juniper trees and vast skies. Its position allows for easy access to the legendary Route 66, where vintage diners and neon signs keep the spirit of the Mother Road alive. The setting is peaceful yet close enough to town for quick supply runs or an evening out.
Amenities & Park Features
The facility is designed to accommodate various camping styles with full-hookup RV sites that offer both 30 and 50-amp service. For those without an RV, the boutique glamping tents and pods provide a luxury outdoor experience. On-site amenities include a dedicated dog park for four-legged travelers, clean shower facilities, and a laundry room. Guests also benefit from high-speed Wi-Fi and communal fire pits, making it easy to stay connected or unwind under the stars after a day of hiking.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The primary draw is the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, located approximately an hour’s drive north. For a unique arrival, many guests take the Grand Canyon Railway from downtown Williams. Closer to the park, families enjoy Bearizona Wildlife Park, a drive-through safari experience. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the numerous trails within the national forest or visit the historic downtown Williams area for vibrant shopping and dining options within minutes of the campground.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an ideal fit for Grand Canyon adventurers looking for a reliable, well-equipped home base outside the national park boundaries. It appeals to families who appreciate the novelty of glamping and the convenience of being near town. Because of its big-rig friendly layouts and full utility connections, it is also a top choice for full-time RVers traversing the Southwest. Whether you are on a multi-week road trip or a weekend getaway, the park provides a comfortable transition between nature and modern living.

I would give zero if that was a choice. It's dirty, smelly, and gross. Staff are rude. The main office stinks.

When it came to staying here our experience was really positive however there are two things that I'm hoping that they'd be able to fix in order for us to revisit in the future. I'm hoping that they can have their cleaning stuff make sure that their coffee pots are cleaned out, I loved that they provided a package that included everything for coffee however when it came to making it, I noticed the tank of the coffee pot was very unclean and aside from that there was a slight mold smell in the unit and I had a hard time sleeping due to being super sensitive to mold. The prices were reasonable for the accommodations we were needing, and it was close to the highway which made everything around us accessible.

Glamping is the wrong term. Overpriced rooms that have seen better days, not cleaned adequately (stained bedding and couch) and located directly on a busy road. The pictures on the website that give you the impression that the site is located in the forest are misleading. The worst thing is the ignorance in the event of a complaint; probably part of the company philosophy! They charge you fees and keep your money! We had to take legal action to get our money back after 3 months!

Sorry, I forget the nightly and weekly rate. Right by the truck stop and not far from I-40 so there is some noise all night but not bad Toilets/ showers are pretty good but not new. This is a vacation glamping park too so there are people having a good time so there might be some late noise. One exit from the road to the GCyn. Not a park to really crow about.

Sorry wouldn’t stay here if you paid me, the people working there were so rude! We inquired about staying and immediately left after speaking to a very rude woman! This does not seem like a travelers RV park, it seems more like a park where people live. We are an older couple in our early 60’s with a nice truck and ToyBox.
