Canyon RV Park
Overview
Overview
Canyon RV Park offers a rare experience in Orange County, providing a peaceful, wilderness atmosphere right in the heart of Anaheim. Situated within the expansive Featherly Regional Park, this destination focuses on preserving a natural landscape filled with mature trees and open spaces. Unlike the standard concrete pads common in many urban settings, this park emphasizes a rustic retreat vibe while still providing the modern essentials necessary for comfortable long-term stays or quick weekend getaways.
Location & Surroundings
The park is tucked away in the Santa Ana Canyon, running parallel to the Santa Ana River. This unique positioning provides a natural buffer from the surrounding city noise, creating a sense of isolation that feels miles away from Southern California’s hustle. Travelers will appreciate the expansive green belts and winding trails that characterize the area, offering a scenic backdrop of hills and native vegetation that is increasingly hard to find in the developed Anaheim region.
Amenities & Park Features
Guests have access to well-maintained facilities designed for both convenience and recreation. The park features full hookup sites with 30 and 50-amp service to accommodate a wide variety of rigs, including larger motorhomes. On-site amenities include a refreshing swimming pool, a large playground for children, and clean laundry facilities for guest use. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, encouraging a traditional camping experience with evening gatherings under the stars.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
While the park feels secluded, it is incredibly close to major Southern California landmarks. Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure are just a short drive away, making this a popular base camp for theme park enthusiasts. Sports fans can easily reach Angel Stadium or the Honda Center. For those seeking outdoor activity, the Santa Ana River Bicycle Trail passes right by the park, offering miles of paved paths for cycling that lead all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
Who This Park Is Best For
Canyon RV Park is an ideal choice for families and outdoor enthusiasts who want to visit major attractions without staying in a crowded, parking-lot style resort. It appeals to those who value a quiet, natural environment and prefer waking up to the sounds of nature rather than city traffic. It is particularly well-suited for travelers looking for a balance between wilderness camping and the convenience of being minutes away from world-class dining and entertainment.

Very well kept facility with tons to do. Bathrooms and shows are clean. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. This was our first visit and we will for sure be back. The park is very easy to access right from the 91 freeway.. There is grass everywhere and kids can have fun outside enjoying fresh air

One of the nicest private gated RV parks in California. The owners are hands on and have impeccable amenities! You feel like your taken away to another place!

Best customer service ever. I just come in to use the dumping services. Everything’s nice and clean. This place looks beautiful honestly, it doesn’t feel like you’re in the city. I love that the front desk service has experience in RV as well. Really helped out with you know first time dumping and how to clean out the tank. It’s always nice to have somebody with experience .

We had such a great time at this beautiful rv park. The sights were large and spaced out just right. Lots of beautiful trees and the bike trail across the bridge was perfect for e bikes. Definitely will be coming back.

The place is absolutely beautiful. It's definitely secure with needing to have a pass and having someone open the gate. Of course it is noisy being near the highway. Next time we will look for a spot that is further away from the highway. The second day that we were there we brought some friends back with us because we were having a problem with our pop-up tent and we wanted their help. I did not know the protocol for bringing someone in with us since they only allow one car through the gate at a time which makes sense. However when I went to the office the person I spoke to was a little snippy and nasty saying that all I needed to do was wave my pass out the window. I explained that yes I knew that however I needed to also let my friends in to help me with our pop-up trailer. There was any barrage of questions about if they were going to stay overnight were they staying in my trailer etc. I had clearly explained that they came by simply to look at the trailer and give us some advice and I thought the snippy questions were a little much.
