Cape Ann Camp Site

Had an amazing time! Hiking, kayaking, swimming as good as advertised. The cabins are awesome and the camp layout is really something special. I wish I lived closer so I could volunteer and enjoy the different seasons throughout the year. That being said I will be back! The Management and staff were all very helpful from start to finish!

My family used to come here 2 or 3 times during the summer. A funky place, but nice and quiet. You could stay in cabins, but we only visited in the afternoons.

Very rude indeed. Manager!!! Don't bother asking about renting . Park needs new person to run park. I can't believe how I was treated and hung up on.. ! March 26, 2024. Tuesday.. 4:47 pm.. Wow !!! Becareful !! Ask for someone else .. Yes there's always someone putting up reviews and there's always someone trying to hack themselves up, in the is case can't ! There was 6 witnesses who overheard the way she just wanted to hang up and no help !

I love camping here. I've been coming since I was a little kid with my mom and it has always been a peaceful, quiet place to escape the city without having to go too far. In the past couple years, it seems like hiking traffic has picked up a lot. I love to see more people enjoying this place, but please be aware that this area is also a campsite! Campers pay to rent their sites and too many hikers seem annoyed by this lately. If you're hiking through between June-August you will probably run into some campers! Be aware that they paid for the space that they're occupying and try to hike around them or at least be polite. Its uncomfortable when strangers wander into your campsite uninvited during breakfast or while you're changing in the tent and act hostile towards you for occupying the space they like to hike through. I know the space is vacant most of the year, but try to be respectful!

A wonderful campground established in 1949 So, this was long before the big class A's of today. We were in a 26' class c with toad and the sites were perfect for us. Quiet but still near so much. Gloucester, Rockport. Salem. And near so much history... Lowell. Boston

Great campground but bring bug spray.

We camped here for a long weekend, but cut it a day short due to bad weather. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, and gave us a refund without us requesting it. Great campground with HOT showers! Would recommend.

Dec-2016: Nice spot. Very cozy clean cabin. Efficient wood stove kept wood cost low. Nice view over the pond with beautiful sunsets. Nice hiking around the pond. I would definitely go again. Dec 2017- I went there again and it was just as nice. Very quiet.

Second time there. It is the only game in town for easy access to Gloucester and the beaches. Staff is friendly and helpful when you are coming into the location especially with the bigger rigs. Modest amenities. Very busy during the summer months for the obvious reasons, access to the beach and water activities. Wi-Fi was added recently which made the experience better. No cable or on air television access. I was able to get decent satellite dish signal. The place does grow on you. The biggest issue is the 20 mile I-95 corridor south of the area. Although we all deal with traffic nightmares I spent an hour both inbound and outbound mid-morning and mid-afternoon for nothing more than 'normal' traffic volume issues. The upper end CG is shaded but not big rig friendly. So, the lower end of the CG overlooking the water is where the MHs and 5ers are located. The sites there are level but tight and unshaded. That does not prevent folks for coming year after year for weeks at a time. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
