I cannot say enough good things about it here. Everyone was so friendly. Cabin was very clean and honestly the bed in there was probably the most comfortable of any cabin I’ve been in at a campground. Rory was the absolute best at the restaurant and I know it sounds crazy to recommend a hot dog but it was the best hot dog I’ve had in my whole life. My only complaint is that people do not seem to understand keeping your pets on a leash at all times (while also holding that leash!) and cleaning up after your dogs. People like that ruin it for the rest of us. Someone dog literally ran onto our site and the people just laughed and said my bad. Dogs are never as trained as you might think. At home by all means let them run but public places…. Stop. Also it’s so disrespectful to not clean up their poop and it’s part of the reason some campgrounds do not allow pets. That’s the only thing that got to me. This was overall the best experience I have had a campground other then something that is not even the campgrounds fault. I really wish I could comment on some of these ridiculous reviews from people who clearly should have stayed at a hotel instead of a campground.

When the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel closed due to high winds, we found ourselves in a bind but thank goodness the KOA was just around the corner! We didn’t have a reservation, but the front desk staff welcomed us with open arms and made everything so easy. To top it off, they made and delivered a delicious pizza right to our site, talk about going above and beyond! The campground was clean, convenient, and cozy enough that we ended up staying a couple of extra days. A big thank you to the KOA team for turning a stressful situation into a mini vacation!

Great campground! Sites were very well maintained and the staff was amazing! Restaurant and bar are a very nice option looking over the water. If you are going for the beach this is not the place but the rest of the amenities are top notch and the water is nice to look at. Good for small children as there are no waves and the water isnt more than 2' deep 300 yards off the beach. Our family will definitely go again.

My family and I had a wonderful stay! We appreciated all the activities even with the impending bad weather the kids had a wonderful time with the costume contest and all the activities provided. The cabin was adorable and very tidy. It was perfect and having included linens was amazing, especially with a lot of campgrounds charging extra for them now, so it was great for them to be included with our stay. I enjoyed the beautiful views of the bay and the sunsets were magical. The staff was very patient with all my questions and you can tell they care a lot about making sure you are enjoying your vacation. I will definitely be back!

Our family of four stayed here in April for a long spring break weekend, We rented a deluxe cabin. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the campground was maintained. The cabin was clean and felt like it was on the newer side of being built. Our cabin had a kitchenette, a small out door deck. The campground has a beach on the Chesapeake bay side and we also were pleasantly surprised as to how nice this beach was. We were expecting a more rocky lake like beach but the sand was quite nice and felt more like an ocean beach even though it was on the bay side. Although we had great weather the pool was not open yet for the season, (end of May), but looked very nice and new. Off site we went to the parks near by which also had nice beaches and into the actually town of Cape Charles which is an adorable town with nice shops, restaurant and another really nice beach. We would definitely return.
