Went for a 5K run. It was a beautiful morning. The signs on how to get to the event were limited no one at the front or signs to state which way to go but overall it was a good time. The park was clean and quiet.

This is a campground for RVs and tents. They also have cabins available. They have a huge hike and bike trail. Beautiful. This is a WWII historical place that once was a military base. 🇺🇸 1.5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

This a wonderful park! I want to highlight especially the Bike Barn where you can loan adult and kid bikes and helmets for free (donations appreciated!) and the staff is kind, friendly and eager help. The loop is 3 miles which you can easily bike with just a few moderate/gentle hills. A short walk from the Bike Barn is a fantastic playground which is partially shaded, with benches and picnic tables in the shade as well- a gift for parents with young kids. We can’t wait to come back! Oh and they have a water station where you can refill your water bottles!

Cape Henlopen State Park is one of the best destinations in Delaware. The beaches are clean, wide, and perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or fishing. The trails are well-marked and offer great hiking and biking through dunes, forests, and marshes. The WWII observation towers and Fort Miles add interesting history to the visit. Restrooms and facilities were very clean and well-kept, and parking was easy with plenty of space. Wildlife is abundant—you can spot deer, birds, and more along the trails. Whether you want to relax on the beach, explore nature, or learn some history, Cape Henlopen has it all.

Came here with my wife during our 1-year anniversary trip 😊 Our entry wasn't the greatest, we didn't have any cash and the ranger seemed disappointed by this. She told us that we could go to the kiosk and it'd take "A minute and a half." No it doesn't 😂 Does she really think someone my age carries cash? 😂 But after that everything was cool! The observation tower you can climb up is neat and gives you a great view of the surrounding area. And just seeing the guns up close is crazy, they're so big! The beaches are nice too, though some of the sand was a little squishy for our tastes. And its a great spot to go birding if you're into that! We saw hundreds of birds here! Definitely worth a stop if you're visiting Delaware regardless of hobbies 👍🏻

Overall the park is nice and there’s a lot of things to do. We stayed at the campground in the tent only section. The nature center, playgrounds and free bike rentals were amazing. The campground is beautiful, clean bathhouses. But please beware of the ticks. Found several on my dog and on 3 of the 5 people in my party.

This is a beautiful park. We camped in site E08 was perfect for our 29 ft camper and truck parked sideways. This park is perfect for biking or walking. So much to do in Lewes or hop down to Rehoboth. Your at the Beach so there is sand everywhere.

The State Park is wonderful, beautiful beaches, fantastic trails for hiking and biking. Great for families. So much to see and do. The town of Lewes is a must visit. The only reason it gets 3 stars is because the campsite is cramped. Really packed in. Don’t expect any privacy camping here.

Took the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. On 1/2 mile from drop off. Very nice State Park in a beautiful area. Sites are close. Lots of trails for hiking or biking. History too. Beach real close. Lewes 2 miles down the road.

The beach was absolutely gorgeous although it was still too cold to swim. We (my hubby & I) put our feet in the ocean. Such a little thing but so cool. The bike trail is a 3 mile loop. The fort miles museum exhibit was cool. I liked it

super nice wandering around here. got a 60° day here in early February and it seems like everyone had the same idea to go to Cape henlopen and ride their bikes or walk/hike around the park. can't imagine what it must be like during the summer. but yeah, there are a few hiking trails that connect to the Gordon pond loop. didn't even make it to Gordon pond because I started wandering out onto these small peninsulas that go out into the marsh. no trails just bushwhacking through there. really nice. not much wildlife I guess because it's still winter but still beautiful surroundings. but yeah nice State Park

Cape Henlopen was a great winter destination for a family that needed to get away and was a little cooped up from 2020 and 2021. We arrived between Christmas and New Year's, and the neighbors we found at our campsite were quiet, friendly and welcoming. The park itself was simple, but the playground was awesome for our 4-year-old. We went to the fishing pier and beach to walk around, and we were only a few minutes from exploring Lewes. We will be back!

Great beach, good social distancing over labor day.

Great, mostly unspoiled beach by the Atlantic Ocean- the best ocean. Wasn't that crowded when we went, on a weekday in late August.

Lots of room to spread out. Some areas have some waves!
