Definitely one of the best state park campgrounds we have stayed at. Right on the beautiful beach at Cape Lookout - there is six miles of beautiful beach for walking and relaxing, and the whales came to play every evening we were there. They were so close you could see them from the beach! We had a full hookup site for our trailer but there are a range of tent, RV and varying hookups available across the campground. Many of the camping sites had a great privacy hedge between the sites - felt like we had a little private garden of our own. Definitely a highlight of our trip down the Oregon coast!

Beautiful beach and campground, natch. Lots of clean restrooms, trails, free car charging (with day use pass of course). Cabins really do have a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen sink, a fridge and grill as part of their set up, as well as each appear to have a lovely view of the water.

Nice campground with clean bathrooms and showers. Easy beach access from all sites, you can hear the waves 24/7. I prefer C loop in the trees near the yurts and showers. Quiet and very dark at night.

Cape Lookout has well equipped day use area. Some picnic tables are more accessible than others. There is plenty of parking. The bathrooms were well maintained. The path to the bathrooms is paved. Access to the water is down a dirt trail below the picnic area.

One of the best campgrounds in Oregon with direct beach access. You can hear ocean sounds anywhere at the campground and in a way it acts as white noise during nights. Clean bathrooms. Best thing about this Showers with hot water. What else do you need. Definitely book way ahead for summer weekends. I love D loop spots since it’s provides partial sunny partial shade area

Great campsite! No electric but spigots for water and hot showers are great. We booked our site two days b4 arrival, since it’s the end of the season it had several openings. Loved the beach access.

This campsite is tops and in high demand even after the Summer season. It's a popular campground. So, don't expect serenity especially during the Summer. But you can't beat the location. Beachfront and tree lined. They offer everything from bike/hike tent camping, group sites, RV sites, cabins, yurts, and plenty of tent sites with showers and bathrooms available. Spigots are plentiful and nearby most sites. There's just something about a campfire while listening to the waves. ProTip: You can reserve a site 6 months ahead of time, and I highly recommend it. This year the sites became available at 6am. But in other years it's been 12am. 6 months to the day of when you want to go. Beach bonfires are my favourite activity. Things I'm not overly thrilled about: The noise during peak times. It's a population dense campsite. Families or groups just doing their thing can be loud. I always camp in D loop because there's nothing behind us but nature.

Beautiful location for a campground right off the beach. There are some nice sites, but some of them are just flat ground with no cover around them. Loop A in particular has no privacy between camp sites. Was very quiet when we visited, and really enjoyed our stay.

Loved this place. Their bathrooms were clean, and so were most of their showers. The water was warm so that was nice. Our site offered plenty of privacy and space. Others in the campground did not, so I would recommend getting one towards the North end of the map. Beach access was great for abled bodied people, although I do wish they had a ram for wheelchairs or easier access for people with physical disabilities. There were a ton of dogs around and that was nice. Our dog loved the beach and how close it was. Overall would recommend.
