Situated in the heart of Island Park, Idaho, the campground is characterized by its proximity to the water and lush forest surroundings. The Henrys Fork flows quietly past the campsites, offering a tranquil soundtrack to your stay. You are surrounded by lodgepole pines and volcanic landscapes that define the region. The area is a vital part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and it is not uncommon to see wildlife wandering through the meadows near the riverbanks during the early morning hours.

Visitors have access to vault toilets and potable water provided via hand pumps, though there are no electric or sewer hookups available. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fire ring for evening gatherings under the stars. One of the most significant features is the on-site boat ramp, which provides easy access for drift boats, canoes, and kayaks looking to navigate this iconic stretch of river.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The area is a world-renowned destination for fly fishing, with anglers flocking here to test their skills on the famous trout waters of the Henrys Fork. Beyond the river, you are a short drive from the majestic Upper and Lower Mesa Falls and the crystal-clear waters of Big Springs. For those planning a day trip into the wilderness, the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park is approximately 30 miles away, allowing for easy exploration of the world’s first national park.

This camp site is non electric, no water supply. You can fill your water resovour at Campground prior to parking at your campsite, the restrooms 🚻 are extremely clean, do to the Campground Host. They are very helpful and pleasant. Discounts available online at Recreation dot gov.

Very pretty and quiet. Lovely hosts. Nice big spots with table and grill and bear box (host said no bears seen in a few years). I got the spot by the boat ramp.

I've been camping in island park for more than 20 years, and this is hands down the worst experience I've had. The campground itself is nice as are the camp hosts, it was everything else that ruined it. It's 2 miles off the highway, but the road it's on is just as busy, with traffic all night. The bathrooms smelled so bad I could smell them in my camp. There was no noise regulation at all, so without earplugs there was no sleeping. Every night there was people showing up after midnight to set up camp. There was only about 5 hours at night where there was silence.

Great RV / Tent campsites, the camp ground hosts are very friendly and willing to answer any questions that I had asked from them. Well water dispenser bibs are located throughout the campsites , but are not available for full water hookups. No electrical hookups. Very clean rest rooms available ( toilets 🚻 ) only. Very large Campsites. Regards

The host was great. She made sure we were taken care of when we arrived. Campground has some road noise which is to be expected, but overall it was peaceful during the night. I must say, those were the cleanest vault toilets I’ve ever seen. Great little campground.
