I've been camping in island park for more than 20 years, and this is hands down the worst experience I've had. The campground itself is nice as are the camp hosts, it was everything else that ruined it. It's 2 miles off the highway, but the road it's on is just as busy, with traffic all night. The bathrooms smelled so bad I could smell them in my camp. There was no noise regulation at all, so without earplugs there was no sleeping. Every night there was people showing up after midnight to set up camp. There was only about 5 hours at night where there was silence.

Great RV / Tent campsites, the camp ground hosts are very friendly and willing to answer any questions that I had asked from them. Well water dispenser bibs are located throughout the campsites , but are not available for full water hookups. No electrical hookups. Very clean rest rooms available ( toilets 🚻 ) only. Very large Campsites. Regards

The host was great. She made sure we were taken care of when we arrived. Campground has some road noise which is to be expected, but overall it was peaceful during the night. I must say, those were the cleanest vault toilets I’ve ever seen. Great little campground.

Nice campgrounds, mostly secluded so we had some privacy. Our camp host was very nice and kept the grounds and the bathroom clean. We had river access to launch our kayaks and the other side of the bridge is a motorized free zone which made for a great float. I would definitely stay here again

The campsite is situated in a heavily trafficked area with trucks and ATVs barreling by at all hours. They all bang on the bridge every 30 seconds. I had a reservation for 2 nights and only stayed one. Just slept in my car on a random forest road the 2nd night, it was that bad that I would rather sleep in my car. Generator right next to me when I'm trying to sleep past quiet time so I had to move all my stuff to a first come site and wrote a note to the host. Hopefully I don't get charged for moving spots.

The campground was clean but the hosts are what earned this place a 1 star. If I could give it a zero I would just because of the host. The very first day we got there we parked wrong and he came knocking and told us we were parked wrong. No problem we will move. After I told him no problem we would move and we were sorry he continued to go off on me that if our camper was still in that spot in 10 min we would be getting a ticket. Umm I already told you we were sorry and would move. We stayed for an entire week went to the park every day leaving at around 7 am and not getting back until 11pm and then going straight to bed. We came back at 11 our last night to find a note stick to our camper door telling us the quiet hours and to make sure our generator was off by 10. We never used our generator that night and the night before was the only night we had used it and it was off by 945. So why the note? They were very rude and seemed like they had a superiority complex. We camp at a lot of camp grounds and this was by far the worst. We will not be going back.

Very clean campground with great spots for tents. If there was an award for best smelling vault toilets I would give it to this campground. Plenty of bear boxes too.

Love it. We got a spot right next to the river for our camper. A bit windy and no shade but other than that great. They have basic sites for RV with easy access to water, trash bins and restrooms, nothing else. Well maintained and clean. It's about 20 miles for West Yellowstone entrance.

Public use boat landing in the campground makes this the perfect base for water adventures. While the boatlanding is for all watercraft, its a particularly good site for non-motorized craft as the nearby McCrea bridge marks a non-motorized boundry: one can paddle 100 yards to get under the bridge and spend the rest of your adventure in a quiet, motor-free (wake-free) zone. We saw lots of pelicans, herons, jumping fish, and bald eagles and really enjoyed it. Campsites are wooded and private with ample space for RVs and gravel pads for tents, fire rings, picnic tables, and work stations. Pit toilets. Firewood for sale from the host.
