Its proximity to the mighty Yukon River provides a scenic backdrop and a profound sense of historical significance. The surrounding landscape is characterized by dense subarctic forests and rolling hills, offering a quiet, community-focused atmosphere. This central junction makes it an unavoidable and convenient landmark for anyone exploring the territorial interior.
Amenities & Park Features
Guests will find a range of practical features designed to support the needs of self-contained travelers. Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
A primary highlight for many visitors is the short drive to the Five Finger Rapids, a famous geological feature and historic navigation hazard for Yukon River paddle-wheelers. Local walking trails along the river bank offer excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing. The area is also deeply steeped in the history of the Klondike Gold Rush, with several interpretive displays around the village that explain the rich cultural heritage of the Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation.

We stayed in the small RV park with tight spots and 30 and 50 amp full hook ups. The sign, along with a market and fuel station, are on the highway with the Hotel proper being directly behind it. Check in for the RV sites is in the hotel lobby with the sites being behind the hotel. The Yukon River is literally across the road from the RV park. The bathhouse and laundry were just “OK”, but nice to find in this remote location. The Wifi worked well and the cell data was good. This is a good place to stop for the night and break up the trip between Whitehorse and Dawson City.

Bathrooms were really dirty and hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. When I complained I was told they would ask someone to clean them the next day. Not helpful at all. Especially if staying only one night.

Great place to rest. Very basic but quiet place. Organized sites, nice staff, internet not bad, laundry and showers all clean.
