Overview
Overview
Casa Malpais RV Park serves as a quiet, functional destination for travelers exploring the high-elevation landscapes of eastern Arizona. Located in the town of Springerville, this park offers a straightforward camping experience designed for those who value accessibility and proximity to local history. The park maintains a modest, no-frills environment, making it a reliable choice for road trippers traversing the scenic highways through the White Mountains region.
Location & Surroundings
Situated in the heart of Springerville, the park provides an ideal base for high-altitude adventures. The area is defined by its semi-arid climate and proximity to the vast Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. Visitors often appreciate the town's small-town charm, which offers easy access to local services while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. The elevation ensures cooler temperatures during the summer months, providing a refreshing escape from the heat found in the lower Arizona deserts.
Amenities & Park Features
The park is designed to accommodate a variety of RV sizes, focusing on the essentials for a comfortable stay. Guests can expect full hookups at many sites, which simplifies the camping process for both short-term stays and extended visits. The layout is kept simple to ensure easy maneuverability for larger rigs, and the park emphasizes reliable utility connections. While the amenities are kept purposefully minimal, the grounds remain well-maintained to provide a tidy home base for travelers.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Springerville is perhaps best known for the Casa Malpais Archaeological Park, a significant prehistoric site featuring ancient ruins that reflect the region's rich cultural heritage. Beyond the history, the surrounding White Mountains offer endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, including hiking, fishing in nearby lakes, and scenic mountain driving. The area is a gateway to the Mogollon Rim, where photographers and nature lovers can explore diverse geological landscapes and enjoy the abundant local wildlife throughout the seasons.
Who This Park Is Best For
Casa Malpais RV Park is best suited for independent travelers who prioritize function and location over extensive on-site resort features. It is an excellent fit for history buffs looking to explore the nearby ruins and outdoor adventurers who need a central hub for hiking and fishing excursions. If you prefer a quiet, low-key environment that places you within reach of Arizona’s mountain wilderness, this park will likely meet your needs perfectly.

A little over a month ago my wife and I had Car Trouble. We needed a place to charge our battery for the night. The staff went so far above and beyond to make our short stay comfortable that I will never forget their kindness. What potentially could have been a nightmare turned out to be a blessing! I would recommend this place highly! Super staff, nice amenities including but not limited to: R.V. Electrical hookups Rentals Parking Water Connections Showers Billiards Trash Cans And there's to much to list... They are booked up for months in advance so do your best to contact them early as you can to reserve a spot! You are all Aces in my story! Thanks again for making our stay delightful!

This is a gem of a RV park. It’s an older park with beautiful big trees. There’s several people who live there in the park but there’s lots of room for people who are traveling through The couple who run the park take very good care of it. They treat their guests like they’re a part of their family. Nice laundry room, nice recreation room The bathrooms are clean the showers are spacious, lots and lots of hot water. Brandy the host and manager told me I could stay in that shower for as long as I wanted to and I’d never run out of water.😃 I did not do that. I was very good about keeping my shower to under 12 minutes but it was just so nice to be able to go and take a wonderful shower after that 9 hour drive We were able to be close to the Petrified forest national park Oh my gosh that place was amazing. and the town of Springerville Arizona has a nice Safeway store it’s close to the campground, Brandy also has a nice little variety of simple items snacks and such that you can get if you don’t want to make a run into town. and a few essentials for your camper or trailer if you need to buy something to replace.

A quiet medium sized park set in a grove of trees just out of town. The sites are average sized, they have a clean, functional bathhouse, a laundry, a small library, and a clubhouse. There are cabins and park models for rent. Well managed, good Wifi, homey feel.
