The host of the campground is a very organized polite lady. She welcomed us and made sure we had all we needed. Wood was very dry and no t expensive.

Great site, friendly service, went out of their way to help in any way. Very clean tidy and quiet. Everyone camping was really friendly. Clean well equipped washroom/showers and laundry, all at very decent prices. Definitely going again.

My family and I had been camping at Cascade Cove for 15 years plus. First as transient campers then for about 10 years as seasonal campers. The first few years the campground was run fairly well, (although sometimes a bit chaotic). Since 2018, when the new owners (husband and wife) took over it has gone downhill in our opinion. They are rude, bullying, controlling and flip flop on decisions from day to day. We hadn't left mainly because of the friends we have made throughout the years. And we also had a top-notch site that we took pride in. We loved coming here during the season to spend time with friends and family, but the management is tyrannical. We understand that every campground has rules but some of the ones here are ridiculous and there is no room for flexibility or even a conversation. It's a one-strike type of game with them. She is on a serious power trip, and many seasonal campers have left because of her. She never answers the phone. Leave a message and she will reply to you in an email if you are lucky. The office doors are quite often closed and locked... never anyone there if you need to talk to someone. Another rule at the campground is campfires out and quiet time is 11pm. We have no problem with that. What we take issue with is her throwing a bucket of water on our fire right at 11 pm, not allowing us to put it out even though we had a hose right next to us. The campground's electrical system is a serious hazard. It needs to be upgraded. Our electrical cord hook up melted due to the poor system. We were very lucky we were there and could smell the burning plastic or our trailer could have gone up in flames. This same scenario has happened to some of our friends/neighbours there. There have also been a couple of electrical fires at the public bathroom. This past year or so they tried to use fancy words like having a "membership" at the campground... as if it has privileges! Ha! The word "membership" implies a formal relationship between an individual and an organization. It typically involves a fee or subscription that grants the member access to certain benefits, services, or privileges. Other than having a place to keep our trailer, there were no other benefits, services or privileges. They say there is wifi but it is non-existent to anyone unless you stand right outside the office. We feel sorry for those who camp in tents as the public washrooms have no lights and are dirty, and that is when you can get into them! Even when you push the code they are locked. If you look at all the reviews on here, please take the 5/5 stars with a grain of salt. We know a few of these people and conversations in real life with them say quite the opposite. Do yourself a favour... when driving on Highway 3 to go camping at Christina Lake... keep on driving past this campground. There are friendlier and better-run campgrounds down the road, closer to the lake.

For members and extended periods only. But beware, they won't tell you that. They will literally ignore your first email and send you to voice mail when you call to ask why. My wife went here every year as a child and now that's she's lost her mother they won't take a reservation a month in advance for 3 nights in a tent so we can spend our seven year anniversary giving a beautiful woman the good memory she deserves.
