We were here in September on vacation and needed to stay one night on our way to another Oregon state campground. There were two sites left. All campsites are in the dirt. Ours was 20 ft from the railroad. We had seen the reviews so we knew what to expect. Even so... yikes! The smell of diesel, the dust, the horn. The bathrooms were great but we never used them because the woman behind the counter was mean. On the checkout morning, when we realized that we were going to be late for their checkout time, we called and explained that we had overslept but we would be out about 10 minutes late. She gave us grief. There is no place to park unless you have a campsite, so when we checked out I mentioned to my husband that I wanted to use the bathroom. She overheard that and told us that we would not be able to use the showers or the bathrooms now that we were not paying customers. "It's not the policy of KOA to let people use facilities when they are not paying for a site". Bottom line? NEVER AGAIN. That is not the KOA way.

If you want a quiet nights sleep don’t stay here. There is a train running 30 feet from the property just about every hour and blasts its horn the whole time. otherwise the campground is cute and staff is friendly.

The people are wonderful! The pool was a plus as our 5 year old loves to swim. Having a pull through site was awesome. BUT the train was awful. I could feel the rumble in the RV as well as hear it. Then it blasts its horn repeatedly. We probably won’t be back. 🙁

We've stayed here multiple times since finding this lovely KOA in Oregon, and it's always an amazing experience. The scenery was breathtaking, and the location was just perfect for a getaway. I was particularly impressed by how clean and well-maintained the bathrooms were. Also, the campsites themselves were kept in excellent condition, offering a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Everyone who manages this KOA is incredibly nice and helpful, and they make the stay feel as if you're staying with family, making the experience even better! Overall, I highly recommend Cascade Locks for anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable camping trip! Without a doubt, Cascade Locks KOA is absolutely a home away from home. We will ALWAYS stop and stay here.

Great camping option in the Columbia River Gorge area. Heavily treed keeps things cool. Back in sites provide a little better side to side space. They are close to the Union Pacific railroad which can be heard day and night. Staff is warm and friendly. Facilities are very clean. Close proximity to some of the best hiking and waterfalls. Access to the PCT within a few miles.
