This KOA is a hidden gem. The staff has the park in excellent condition and work hard to keep it that way. I definitely would recommend this KOA for a stop on I-70.

We stayed here one night and that was too long. I have no complaints about personnel, as the fellow we dealt with was pleasant. The park itself leaves a lot to be desired. The price was one of the highest we have paid at a KOA and was the least worthy of the almost $70 fee!!! Pea gravel spaces that were not very level. Muddy all around our space and every where we walked with our dog!!! I hated to even take him out!!!!! Maybe at a drier time it wouldn’t be so muddy, but it there we a lot of trees which prevented the sun from drying out the ground.

If I could give 0 stars for this poor excuse of a campground I would. When I called to see if they had any monthly spots available I immediately was told “I hate workers and long term stays, I don’t need them because it turns my campground into a “trashy trailer park”. Continuing the conversation I asked if there was any way they would allow us to stay and he gave me a crazy monthly rent and then told me “I’m doing you a favor”. I proceeded to tell him that I’ve never been treated so horribly he then said “ I’m upholding the KoA policy”. Which doesn’t make sense because we just spent 9 months at a KOA in Wisconsin. Upon further conversation with other “trashy trailer workers” we are finding out he is not hanging up on people or telling them it will be over $2000 a month just to stay. I will be contacting KOA to see what can be done about this horrible judgmental person. Absolutely need new owners. I don’t understand why this guy is even in a personable business.

Nice looking KOA and that's where it ends. Owner is RUDE! Due to unexpected RV problems which required it going to manufacturer for repairs I had to cancel our reservation. It was exactly 7 days out, but owner said it had to be 7 days in-between, so no refund. Could not reschedule without knowing how long RV was in for repairs. Owner said no refund because they are a "small operation" might be a "small operation" because of owner's attitude and our perceived greediness of owner. Each time we pass through the area the park is empty often, maybe there's a reason. I had to call 3 other KOA's to cancel and ALL 3 refunded us with no problem. One KOA was 3 days away. Good customer service speaks volumes to us and bad customer service speaks even louder. We will never stay at this KOA again unless it's under new ownership and management.

we spent two nights here and toured Casey Illinois for the majority of our time here. The laundry room is clean and cozy, although we are just starting out on our trip, so we did not use it. wash is currently $2 for 25 min and dry is currently a quarter for 5 min. four washers top load and three dryers (2 sm and 1 oversized). the bathroom/shower is very clean. the showers have a wooden door that locks and a curtain between your dry clothes and the shower space. hot water in the showers was very nice. the spaces are a nice size with picnic table and fire ring. Our site was level. Gravel driveway at sites.Staff is exceptionally wonderful. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I felt safe and welcomed. traffic from 70 can be muffled with a fan in the camper if it bothers you. sweet train in the distance. neither one will keep me from booking here. only about 15 minutes from town to see the big things. it's an hour east of the Great Kaskaskia Dragon just down West interstate 70 in the town of Vandalia. Lincoln's parents log cabin is just north of Greenup. We had a wonderful time calling this place home for a couple of days. Highly recommend. we were in lot 17.

The owner was very nice and the park is very pretty, however, we spent a night after heavy rains. Our site was nothing but mud. I understand when it rains you get mud, but the park was pretty empty and there were several higher, dryer sites that would have been conducive to a more enjoyable stay. There was no way to walk out of or around our rig without stepping into deep water and mud. Doing the hookups was very difficult We have a 120lb dog so you can imagine the mud tracked in.

The new owners are doing a great job! My parents had travel woes and had to make a last-minute stop in Casey. The KOA here was accommodating and really helped fit them in. They were able to book a stay, including nights for my husband and I to be able to come visit them in their camper. I really appreciate the work the new owners put into customer service and maintaining the site. It's an older site, but every facility we accessed was really clean and well maintained. I look forward to seeing what upgrades the owners make between seasons! Because the pool closes after Labor Day, we weren't able to experience that on our trip. The outdoor spaces like the dog park and playground were nice, and looked well cared for. If you're in the area or just passing through, this is a great place to camp! The owners are very helpful, and Casey is a fun town to check out the *Largest* sights!
