We had a great time on a sunny weekend in November. Beach is amazing. Front playground is fun for little kids. Store is convenient. I read lots of reviews where they complained about how small and close together the RV sites are, and they were RIGHT! The back in RV sites also don’t get any sun and are soggy mud, so go for pull through to get more light and a tad more space. Sites are tiny and stacked so so closely together that it’s a little awkward but we had friendly and considerate neighbors and all made the best of it.

Awesome location. We absolutely loved the place. Friendly staff. Plenty of clean rest rooms. Departmental store is decently equipped. We will revisit for sure. (We had a 26 foot motor coach)

I’ve started camping at Caspar beach the last 3 years. And it’s always been a fantastic experience. This last weekend we had a bad experience due to a tree falling onto our campsite at like 1:30am. It was terrifying. They put us in a small cabin for the rest of the night. Around 8/9am everyone came out and started helping clearing trees and helped us clean our campsite. They gave us a refund of our stay and they even offered to put us in 2 bigger cabins for the rest of our stay. Thankfully we only had bruises and scrapes at most. Forever thankful for how great the staff was for us in our experience.

We stayed in the very best cabin :) away from the RV/trailer for almost a week and are now settled that caspar beach RV park is our new happy place for years to come !!! 🏕. Cabins were clean and warm, potable water spout and portapotty (cleaned everyday) within 15 yards of the cabin. The staff are friendly and kind and are not intrusive in the least. Showers are HOT and clean. Store has all the things you need, plus fun stuff for the kids that isnt tooo pricey. Only 10 minutes from town and noyo harbor for eats if you want or hit the beach and paddleboard or kayak or collect shells and play in a perfect cove. Wifi works well in certain areas and others not at all, which truly helped us disconnect. We are already planning our next trip . #casparcrewforlife!

Had a campsite booked that we made in person after choosing our spot then get a call from Melissa who was so rude and unprofessional to tell us she's canceled our reservation and isn't able to explain why yet becomes very rude and yells at me offering zero professionalism or customer service skills. I asked to speak to the owner and she said no. She told me the owner wouldn't want to hear from me? This reservation was for a year from now and she wouldn't allow me to make any changes at all. Our family has come here for years but I guess if Melissa wants to work so hard to make us feel unwelcome then we can definitely take our business elsewhere which means 15 sites they will be losing out on and I will spread the word locally how poorly my family was treated. What a shame to have someone so petty in charge of ANYTHING! Don't waste your time here find somewhere more accommodating and polite and respectful.

Such a cute spot for RVing across the street from the beach. The ladies in the store are so friendly and helpful. My dogs and I practically had the beach to ourselves, and met some nice people there.

Although it looks like it could get tightly packed in. It wasn't when we were there. Making for a great experience. Campground and facilties were well maintained. Except one of the showers wouldn't take the quarters. This was very inconvenient. We let the host know. Don't know if it got fixed or not.

Great park. Beautiful location, quiet, gardens, stream running along sites down to ocean. Very helpful staff. Pricing is very reasonable. RV spots are close together - if you want a lot of outdoor area that is your “own”, this isn’t the park for you. There are spots that offer privacy, just ask them when you reserve. Photo is view from our RV.

Called a few days before visit, rain had been in the forecast but we decided to camp anyways. On the phone we were pitched a "ocean view" site for $110 a night due to it being far away from other sites. Upon arrival to the campsite, there was in fact zero view of the ocean, trash was left at the site, and no real area to hangout. The campground was completely empty so we could have gotten a cheaper rate if the lady who I spoke to on the phone just said they were slow. The potable water spout at the camp did NOT work. The bathroom light would not work, the shower just ate quarters and did not work the first few attempts. For the outrageous price, this campsite offered nothing bonus then a standard California State Campground for $30 anywhere else. We will NOT be camping here again.

This is such a fun campground and in an ideal location. We tent camped and I loved that the sites are tucked in to the lush forest. I felt they were pretty private. Yes, you can still see some other sites and hear neighbors but it wasn’t too bad. Our kids loved playing at the park and going to the beach. There is also room for the kids to ride their bikes. The RV spots did look like they were close together (as other reviews stated) so I think tent camping would be my preferred type of camping here. Everyone was friendly and we had a great time. We saw raccoons and skunks at our site too so make sure to store your food securely.

It's nestled in a canyon, so it kind of dark in winter, but it's right across from a beautiful little cove called Caspar Beach. I collected lots sea glass here.

Great location situated near the quaint town of Mendocino with plenty of beautiful sight seeing areas to explore. Well stocked on-site general store with friendly staff. Make sure that everything in your camper is well secured (and maybe don’t eat first) when entering or leaving the grounds as the access road is in dire need of pot hole repairs. Have to agree with the other reviews of extremely cramped sites. We had about 6 feet of personal space (which had a picnic table and fire ring within 2 feet of our door) when exiting the camper before the next site. Tighter if they had slide outs. If the site on the other side of us were to have a fire it would be about 2 feet from our truck’s fuel tank! Definite safety hazard.

Great spot next to the beach. Most of the staff was great. One grumpy person at the store/office for a short period of time. Bathrooms are pretty clean. The one downside was the website did not say anything about how wet the tent sites are. Still nice but soggy wet and muddy. Beach is really nice and beach fires allowed.

The staff were super friendly, even being an incredibly busy holiday weekend. The campsites and property were clean. The only downside was the small size of the campsite. Once we had our tents set up there wasn't enough space to safely build a fire. The market was well stocked and it's ridiculously close to the beach. Definitely a family friendly location.
