Had a great time for Halloween camping!! We go with a group and celebrate with trick or treating, pumpkin planting/panting, bingo, and dance party! For all that's there I do still think the cabins are overpriced for needing to bring practically everything. Staff is accommodating and friendly.

I love to walk in the store. Paul always makes it very inviting to be in there. Always pleasure to work with him. He always helps us out. Go up to the office and Ashley is a great person. She is really really personal person and Andy. He is the best guy around here for maintenance go to the bar and all the bar. People are really sweet. It’s a pleasure being here at Castaways they make you feel like at home

Great views, nice live music. Tiki bar, pool bar both nice. Nice bay breeze. Very dog friendly. Cottage was clean. The twin over twin bunk beds are not real"beds" as they are just wooden frame with a cushion type mattress on top. Good for little ones but anyone weighing over 50lbs will not be comfortable. One of my boys doubled up the bunk mattresses and the other one slept on the couch. All in all we enjoyed the stay and will be back.

Our family just spent a week here and absolutely loved it, we can’t wait to come back next year for even longer. When planing this trip, I spent a lot of time looking into different things we could do that would be fun for both my 16 year old and 11 month old. And while we did go to the boardwalk once for a couple hours, we didn’t leave the campground the rest of the time because there’s just so much to do here. I had read some reviews about the bathrooms being yucky and the sites having some garbage upon arrival. We have 2 bathrooms in our camper so we didn’t use the bathrooms here, but I did check them out several times and each time they were always spotless. And while yes there was some garbage at our site when we got here it only took a couple minutes to pick it up. Not a big deal. There is not enough time between check in and check out for the staff to go and check every site, I’d much rather be able to check in early than have to wait to check in so they can go and clean every single site. The grounds were beautifully maintained, if some campers don’t clean up after themselves don’t blame the campground! The staff was great and you can’t beat the vibe here. We will be coming back for years to come

Stayed with my parents in their RV for the boardwalk rock fest. They've stayed here before and raved about the amenities and it did not disappoint. We didn't have much time to do much there since we were at the festival all day but I still appreciated how nice the campground was. I would definitely love to go back and stay in one of the lovely looking cottages they rent out. The camp store was nice and had a good bit of useful items to buy including ice cream and beverages. The pool looked nice and there's a tiki bar as well. Really nice place for a vacation.

The location is great! Being on the beach is great! And I enjoyed walking the dog in the mornings. Laundry was fine, though the dryers did not completely dry my clothes. Nice pool. The showers are awful. We have a shower in our rig but I do like a long hot shower if available. They have push on showers, so every ten seconds you have to push it on. And it takes forever to heat up. I also happened to go right after it was cleaned and the drains were full of hair. For the price of this place they should have nicer showers.

The grounds were immaculate, the staff friendly and helpful, the bathrooms sparkling clean, and the sites level and laid out well. We were in a 25-foot rv and found driving through the campground and setting up to be quite easy. We would definitely recommend this campground, and will be back.

We had a great stay at this campground. Our site was awesome with an incredible view of Assateague Island and the wild horses…such a beautiful spot. It was quiet when we went and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. My kids especially loved the free putt-putt course. Very clean. The only small issue we ran into was that the camp store closed earlier than posted on two occasions. Wasn’t a big deal. One thing to note: you’ll see (and hear) a lot of planes coming in and out nearby. It’s awesome for aviation fans. We absolutely will come back, such a fun and memorable spot! Update: so our slide got stuck and after an hour of trying to fix it, their maintenance gentleman came down and fixed it in 30 seconds. What a great crew.

We have stayed here for over 10 Years now! We usually stay in August it’s the first time in April, The campground as always looked amazing. The office staff were as always very helpful and accommodating. We will be back for our annual August dates!! Thank You and most importantly keep up the GREAT job!!

Love this campground. Always stay here during car events at the beach Especially want to highlight the expert care we received when we requested valet service to our spot. the driver was friendly and so helpful. the bushes near our site were a little overgrown, he stayed late and trimmed the branches away so they wouldn't scratch our RV. Top Notch!

Castaways has always been one of my favorite campgrounds around!! I love the little beach and the little tiki bar. They also have bands out here quite often, and I've never been disappointed on any level. The bathhouses are great!! Also, if you don't have a camper there are little bungalows that you can rent out here that are pretty amazing themselves. If you haven't been to this campground, you've got to give this one a try! You won't be disappointed!!

This is an RV park that charged $250 a night. They had a pool and a small fast food store. You could rent golf carts for $100 a day - this seemed very popular. There is also a very small dedicated dog beach and shower area. Top it off with a mini-golf area that was about 30 x 30’. Now for my take on the park. The place was crowded - the sites were very close and the only trees were a 5’ tree planted on each site. Maybe it will be a shade tree in 20 years. The only vegetation was at the edge of one side of the park. The dog beach was about 40’ wide - again very crowded. The restroom could definitely stand for an update. The fixtures had been there for quite a few years. What really annoyed me were the showers. They had a push button for getting the water to flow. Unfortunately my shower turned off after about 10 seconds and I had to push the button again to get water. I ended up enlisting the aid of my traveling companion to stand and hold the button. I had hoped for a hot shower but the temperature was warm at best. I am surprised at the number of favorable reviews. This place would be at the bottom 10 of the RV parks I’ve stayed at. But combined the conditions of the park with the amount changed and this place sinks to the very bottom of the list.

I debated writing this review, but I wish I had read one like it prior to going here. Let's start off on a positive note. The grounds were great with pretty views, very clean, and laid out in an easy to follow fashion, and the few staff we did talk to were nice and polite. Now on to the downsides, for me at least. This trip was not as relaxing as I had hoped, as this seems to be more of a party destination. There was constant music from all directions pretty much all day. At over $400 a day, I should not have to bring my own or rent sheets and pillows. That's pretty ridiculous, honestly. While there is nothing wrong with being a party destination, I only wish I would've known going in. I was hoping for a quieter weekend with the family. Hopefully this can help people like me who would like to know those kinds of things. All that being said, I am sticking to my 4☆ rating. It was not what I was hoping for, but it is a solid place.

We’ve been coming to castaways for some time now, basically every month from may to September for 2 years and have even booked a few for next year, but this place has absolutely no sense of customer loyalty. They’re price gouging! We had a spot booked last weekend and attempted to call and come up one day earlier. The spot was available but for nearly twice of what we’re paying for per night already. This apparently was a “new policy” and even though we wouldn’t have been arriving till 8pm, it was still about $200 for the night when we’re only paying a little over $100. They were rude and kept saying there was nothing they could do since it’s same day. This has never happened before in the 2 years we’ve been coming. And now, we just called there to extend a future trip one extra night and they amount they told us for one extra night was about the same amount for all 3 nights we were already paying for! They were extremely rude to my husband and I who just wanted an extra day. This place doesn’t care about its loyal customers, only how they can get more and more money. Time to find another place to go. This place use to be great but it’s going downhill very quickly. It’s becoming no longer worth the money.
