A simple wilderness campground. There were 13 of us camping, over five campgrounds. We met in the middle as a group and enjoyed the fire together. The weather was mostly good, but it did rain on us lightly and in intervals on Table Mountain, as well as overnight. Did some awesome hiking. Table Mountain one day, and Haig lake the next. Some of us jumped into the river from the rock platforms. All in all, an amazing weekend.

It can be busy on weekends, but it’s a beautiful destination for a day trip. There are a few benches where you can relax and enjoy your lunch or snacks. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuits—just in case you’re tempted to take a cliff jump and go for a swim!

Lovely campground with lots of trees and large, private sites. At night it's very quiet and the sound of rushing water lulls you to sleep. Not too many mosquitos. Pit toilets only, but they are kept clean. One negative is there is no firewood for purchase on site and the nearest store in Beaver mines charges $21/bundle. Some people complain about the gravel road to access, but we had no issues to drive it. The falls are gorgeous and very fun (cold water therapy for free!).

wonderful place! if you want to relax for one day, you can come for a swim and fry meat on the coals; if you want to stay for the night, you need to reserve a place and time to relax

Beautiful, close, clean with lots to explore. Perfect getaway to clear your head and enjoy nature.

The campsite was dirty- grease spots and egg shells all over the camping pad, rib bones thrown on the ground and found by dog, metal wire in fire pit. With the increase in fees it seems the campground attendants could clean up after campers leave(since it seems campers can't/won't do it themselves!) and maybe manage to sweep the out houses....

Nice day use area. 2.5 - 2.75 hrs from Calgary but it was worth it! The road after hwy 774 is a gravel dirt road but it was in pretty good shape. I didn't mind all the dusts afterward. There are picnic tables available for use. Outhouse is descent, with tissue and hand sanitizer. No cell coverage made it more special, our teens and kids did not check their phones and opted to hike around. A few meters walk from parking and you'll see the stream of water and Castle falls. The view of the falls is really nice. I didn't swim or soak in the water but there were people cliff jumping like crazy, really fun atmosphere. its like a small haven for campers and those who just want to cool off. I tried fishing but wasn't able to catch any, but still ok. The waters are clear. I'll definitely be back for sure! Bring your family, kids, and pets too!
