The park is designed for those who appreciate a well-maintained environment and the peaceful atmosphere of a forested golf setting within a convenient distance of city services.
Location & Surroundings
Situated on a plateau overlooking the Columbia and Kootenay River valleys, the park is surrounded by towering evergreens and mountain vistas. The drive to the park takes visitors through the scenic outskirts of Castlegar, providing a sense of seclusion while remaining accessible. The lush mountain backdrop creates a cool, shaded environment that is particularly refreshing during the summer months. The layout is thoughtfully spaced to ensure that guests enjoy the natural beauty of the West Kootenays without feeling crowded by neighboring rigs.

The RV park features 20 level sites that accommodate a variety of rig sizes, including several pull-through and back-in options. Most sites offer full hookups, including 30 and 50 amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. A significant benefit of staying here is the proximity to the on-site restaurant and clubhouse, which serves meals throughout the day. Free Wi-Fi is also provided for guests, making it easy to stay connected while enjoying the forest.

I had a tee time that was going be just on time for, or late even. I called Scott to advise, he booked me in and even came out of the shop to the tee box to give me my score card for men’s night. Wow what a great guy and exceptional customer service, thanks Scott. An another note, Castlegar is the best golf course in the Koots.

• Staff was okay, it appeared she really didn’t want to be there. • Site was level. • Site was tight, very close to neighbors. • It was quiet and peaceful. • Showers are failry clean, and adequate pressure, water is tepid, you get 7 minutes for $1.00. • WIFI was slow, Rogers worked great. • No sewer hook ups, there is a sani dump, but they don’t tell you it’s there, they want you to go to the CO-OP to dump, plus it’s in a very poor location.

We stayed in the RV park at Castlegar golf and RV for a couple of nights to visit our grandchildren - unfortunately we didn’t have time to golf. This is a nice campground. Staff were really helpful and friendly, the sites are nice and big and clean and it’s very quiet. We didn’t use the washrooms or laundry so I can’t speak to that. We weren’t aware there was no sewer hookup but perhaps I missed seeing that - but just a heads up for anyone else. The Co-op fuel station in Castlegar has a nice sani dump on the side of the building. There is a tap beside the dump for black water and another tap around the front near the door for fresh water.

As a lifelong prairies golfer, I was in dreamland. The conditions, the elevation change, the scenery were amazing. The staff were so helpful. I complimented all the greenskeepers I could see. Blown away. Can't recommend enough 5 stars.

Bit of a hidden gem. The golf course is in good shape and well looked after. Pricing is reasonable and the restaurant is well above average. The campground is very well maintained, amenities are clean and above average quality Susan is as delightful a camp host as you will ever meet. Lives our stay and hope to be back.
