I love that this is a family-run campground, which gives the place such a warm, welcoming feel. The owners are incredibly friendly, and I really enjoy all the amenities Cedar Shade has to offer, including a well-equipped gym, volleyball court, and lake. There’s also a little farm stand on the property where you can pick up fresh local eggs and other lovely goodies.

Check in was a breeze, the ladies at the front counter are fabulous. Our site was great close to all the amenites. We had great weather for their closing weekend. Ready to stay for a week next summer and use all of the amenities to the fullest.

My wife and I are moving to cedar shade. From another camp ground. We have not been able to experience much.As it is the end of season. But if the few days we have been here are any indication we are in for a wonderful 2026 camping year. We have been welcomed by the staff and we are looking forward to enjoying the many activities that are offered by this wonderful place

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Spectacular Summer at Cedar Shade Campground! From the moment I arrived, Cedar Shade felt like more than just a campground—it felt like home. The staff went above and beyond all summer, always welcoming with a smile and ready to help with anything. Their friendliness and dedication made every stay stress-free and enjoyable. The facilities were outstanding. The pool (“bassin”) was always clean and inviting, perfect for cooling off on hot days. The installations around the grounds were top-notch, thoughtfully maintained, and clearly cared for. I was especially impressed with the new washers and dryer—such a practical upgrade that made long stays so much easier. Activities were plentiful and well organized, creating a real sense of community. Whether it was fun events for families, social gatherings, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, there was always something to look forward to. Cedar Shade didn’t just meet expectations—it exceeded them. Everything, from the cleanliness of the campground to the care put into small details, showed that the owners and staff take real pride in what they do. I can’t thank Cedar Shade enough for making my summer truly memorable. If you’re looking for a campground that combines comfort, community, and genuine hospitality, look no further—this is it. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be back!

We stayed 3 nights at Cedar Shade mid-week. The grounds are very clean and well kept. We stayed by the farm area as we had children with us and it was great for them to walk to see the animals. Sites vary from very small and squished in to make more money to some that are OK for space. The flies where we stayed were to the point of unbearable. You could not have food out without flies being everywhere. Even just sitting outside they were everywhere. The pools were great. Kids loved them! The lake was fun too. There is a green tinge and the bottom is very slippery but the kids still had a blast. The "quiet time" doesn't seem to apply to some of the seasonal sites. Kids up and screaming right outside our site long before 8am (our site was within seasonal sites). It is a very large campground with over 400 sites. We would consider returning next year but would definitely look for a site that has more space and would choose mid-week again. We will recommend it to others but will give them the heads up on certain parts of our stay.

What a great week At Cedar Shade. It was worth the 7hour drive from Niagara area to there. We had really hot week but the lake and the pools definitely made escaping heat worth it. Friendly staff. Playgrounds and animal petting zoo. Awesome as well as the little restaurant for some poutine and ice cream. And Rates were very reasonable. Thanks Cedar Shade Camp for a great family trip. Hope we go back again

Our first family camping trip was such a blast—full of laughter, adventure, and sweet memories we’ll always hold on to.The kids said it was a dream come true, and I couldn’t agree more. From spacious sites to clean facilities, everything ran so smoothly. The campground itself is a family paradise—play parks, pools, and playgrounds. It felt like it was made for kids to run free. Definitely a place we’ll keep coming back to!

This place is incredible. I visited a friend and it is a busy place because there is always something scheduled to take part in if you wanted. It’s got that family feel to it and everyone keeps an eye out for everyone. There are parks, and a pool and a really neat quarry to swim in. If you have a trailer or 5th wheel there are yearly spots available, but also spots for just visiting. Really worth checking it out.

Great and fun for kids. It's too bad they are always booked solid. You have to reserve mid summer 2021 to get a chalet for 2022.
