Nice campground. Lacking privacy tho - there is no plant life between sites and they are very close together. Also don’t really appreciate the online only booking. It is particularly difficult when internet or cell service is spotty as it is in this region. The other campers were super friendly and the location is perfect for the memorial gardens and the museum.

The campground is nice if you get a lakefront site you’ll be in heaven. The shoreline is rocky, but the rocks are smooth and flat wasn’t a bother to me at all. Bring some shoes to wear in the water cause it is rocky. The water is wonderful clear clean Music in the park up until the end of August on Saturdays. There’s about 40 sites in total two blocks away from Main Street 20 minute drive from Sandon BC. Which I highly recommend if you really like history, you’ll enjoy your visit there. They’ve got the oldest Nicola Tesla Generating station still working. Site we stayed in was in the middle. No trees no shade. But we were close to the washrooms and showers .and there is a nice beautiful garden to enjoy. Again this area has history! Come on down to new denver

This is a nice campground! We stayed in sites #1 then site #41. Site #1 is nice because it’s closer to the water. There is a chain link fence that runs down this strip of campsites, and on the other side is a dock with lots of boats and deep blue water. It was kind of interesting to look at. Site #41 was great because it was right on the lake. The sites are a fair size, though most people bring campers so it does get a bit busy. Site 41 might be nicer if the thicket was pruned back for a better view. Overall it was a great site. Town is a short walk away with a few interesting stores and memorials. The beach is rocky, but a lot of the rocks are really pretty and fossilized. The water felt fresh in a way that the kootenay river doesn’t. You can see the results of last years wild fire on the mountain across the lake. There was a baseball diamond, volley ball net, basketball hoop and a big field to run in. Bring loonies for the shower

We just had our yearly family reunion camping trip here. We brought our RV. This is such a beautiful and well maintained camping ground in such a treasure of a community. The camp staff were so friendly and did an amazing job of keeping the camp clean and helping those staying there. Highly recommend this place and the Reflection Garden right in the camping area is a must see.

We really enjoyed staying at this campground with our RV. The place is quiet and cozy, and the owners are incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommended! A great activity for kids! On the opposite side of the river by the lake, you can find beautiful, smooth pieces of old glass on the beach. It's like a little treasure hunt — and the glass can be used later for fun and creative crafts. 😁

As of recent, this campground has a ridiculously strict booking policy. So strict, that even when it comes to illness such as Covid, they won’t allow you to cancel with refund if you are not canceling before that two time period. Once upon a time, New Denver use to be a flexible and reasonable place, and now the community council whom I even sent an email request to reconsider refund, would rather keep my money than be understanding and supportive of incontrovertible circumstances. I will no longer camp this campground just for this reason, nor Will myself or my family be spending our time or money in this community We once loved and as well as resided in. Shame on you New Denver.

We booked a site with the wife of the site manager. We phoned her twice to confirm our site ,when we got there at 7:28 at night the husband claimed there were no sites available except for a 40 dollar a night site which we had already said no to as it had no services. Now we are unsure whether the site attendants wanted to fill that more expensive site or if there really was any sites other than that available, nun the less we were left without a place to stay. Would never recommend this place ever.

Really enjoyed our stay at the New Denver centennial campground. Very easy going, right on Slocan lake, boat launch and lots of fun for the kids with the playground and fields onsite. Great place to position your exploration of the area.

I went camping here as a kid and always come back. Great beach with good skipping rocks, and has all the facilities you need. Nice and quiet.

Good campground, but needs a bit of a refresh. Clean gravel in some of the sites, free Wifi, updated showers etc would help. Biking, hiking, SUP, kayaking all close by.
