I definitely give this a five star review. Nebraska did it right with the state park absolutely beautiful, plenty of room to move around. Dogs need to be on a leash, but there’s some great walking and hiking trails for humans and dogs. Disk golf course, hi horseback, an amazing swimming pool.

What a wonderful place to stay. The Chadron State Park is embedded into the National Forest of Nebraska. The infrastructure is perfect and the RV campsite is clean and spacious.

Beautiful park, wonderful campsites, and clean bathrooms. The camp ground hosts did a wonderful job maintaining them. We really enjoyed the amenities the park offered. The archery/indoor shooting range was fun. The trading post was adorable and the staff were so friendly. There is an outdoor pool but we did not go to it. We had a nice relaxing few days there.

Very nice small park with a lovely campground. The scenic loop road goes through a beautiful landscape and the campground is very nice. The sites all have irises planted at the posts, wish they had been blooming, we were too early. There were several nice handicapped sites all paved with concrete. There are reservable sites and lots of first come first serve, which they confusingly call “walk in”. The higher numbered sites are nicer and there are some “walk ins” in that area too. It is farther away from the noisy nearby road. You have to pay for showers here - this is a new one for me! It was pretty expensive to camp also because we aren’t NE residents so we had to pay an extra vehicle fee. There are several nice trails within the park for hiking and horseback riding and a stable for trail rides within the park, not sure of that cost.

Beautiful place.. Really nice host. Facilities are well taken care of and thoughtful. Nebraska really does take pride in the state park system and I'll be buying a park pass to explore more of them.

Nice park. Went there before the rush. It was cold but worth it!

Visited Fort Robinson, Fur Museum and the Toadstool Geologic Park while camping at Chadron State Park. So much to do and so much history in this area, wish I had stayed longer. The Trading Post has yummy snacks and friendly faces. The people that work here are wonderful! The camp hosts were exceptionally helpful, friendly and kept the restrooms and grounds extremely clean. I will say that I was disappointed to have to pay for my shower! $0.25/minute is mighty steep and I already paid for the campsite!

Chadron was our 3rd camp on trip and only stayed 2 nights. Very pretty scenery and fairly easy hiking trails. Only 1 area is for tents. This park felt more like a resort. The few staff that I dealt with was super friendly. My only complaint was the sound of the highway! Trucks can echo pretty loud at campsite. That's why I only gave 4-star.
