Small park but well kept. Hosts and Park Ranger were great people. Comfort stations are well kept as well. Playground in the middle of one zection so can be noisy.

Amazing state park with a beach and playgrounds. Picnic tables to bring your own food. By the beach there are bathrooms with running water and they are very clean. Lots of parking with handicap ones. Just all around beautiful park. The lousy flies kept biting me so don’t forget the bug spray.

Very clean. I was there on July 3rd in the morning, and it was very serene and peaceful. Well worth the drive from wherever. Multiple, easy accesses for launching a kayak. Boat ramp on the far end.

Decided to camp for a few days close to home and while I've been at this park for an hour here and there for hiking, I've never spent quality time here. I am pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this place is. The campsites are spaced far enough apart that you feel some sort of privacy. I chose a walk-in tent site. Lots of hiking trails and areas for fishing. I don't have a kayak, but if you do, bring it! There's also a beach and swimming area but it's too cold in May for that. So peaceful and relaxing while surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. Fell asleep to the sound of peepers and woke up to the sound of turkeys. And the deer walked right by my tent in the morning. Both deer pictures were taken while sitting in my chair next to my tent. Four calmly passed by and let me enjoy their presence. I would suggest downloading maps ahead of time or bringing them with you since I haven't seen any staff yet, not even at my arrival yesterday. So I had to find my way to my site myself and search out the restrooms and all that good stuff. Signage is very clear so it wasn't too difficult. Also, restrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground. I didn't know where to get firewood or supplies nearby either, but there's enough kindling around so I just gathered some fallen wood myself from around the site, and I'm an explorer so I found a great general store about 4 miles from the campground. This place is a must if you're coming through the area and need a great camping place that is quiet, calm and gets you to relax! Edit to add: I did find firewood my 4th day here, near the front entrance that you pay using a QR code. I thought it was someone's personal stash and didn't realize it was for the guests to purchase. I never did meet a staff member my entire time there (Tuesday afternoon through Saturday morning). Thankfully I'm a seasoned camper, but if you're a first timer this could be difficult. It is an amazing place though and I will be back!
