Very nice park. There are many trails with different levels of challenge. There are many very nice areas to paddle, and some have no motor boats restriction which is great for a quiet day. The campsites are well maintained. There is easy access for trailers to fill up with water as well as the dumping station. Cell service is extremely limited. There are a couple of spots that you might be able to connect to mobile service like along the day beach and at the boat launch area. But it is very spotty. Great camping overall though.

I had a great time here in late September. The facilities were well maintained although a few improvements could be made. The main beach was fantastic. Beautiful views and nice sand. They have changerooms and bathrooms there also which is great. Its especially good for kids because the water is so shallow a long way out. Not so good for swimmers as it gets weedy. But you still gotta go in! The sites I saw are nothing special but if you’re not too far and are looking to try somewhere new I would give it a go. Its also about a 20minute drive to Thousand Islands. I went and kayaked one day ( although i wish i just rented a kayak and stayed on Charleston lake) and also did a one hr boat cruise where they take you into U.S waters and past the Boldt castle which was worth it

We LOVED Charleston Lake. The bay where our campground was was a ‘silent bay’. We had a campsite with a small path up a rock face (easy path), and at the top was a large expanse of rock where put our chairs and had a fabulous view without leaving the site. There were lovely trails and one of the best dog swimming areas I’ve been to. We will definitely return and for longer.

Stayed at the shady ridge campground which had many very private lots and mature trees. Great little hikes around the park with many rock formations and explanations on the geology of the ground and the forest composition. Many marshes so do expect mud but it's workable. Clean amenities and great showers! No dishwashing stations which was a disappointment. Will try and go for the colors in the fall as it must be stunning there.

The perfect adventures playground. There is something for everyone here. This place is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend site number 275 in Bayside. It's stunning. The park it's self is so clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They have canoe and Paddle boards rentals for a decent price. Two canoes for the day was about $56. The lake it's self is huge and so fun to explore. The park is filled with wildlife. Tones of fish species, turtles, deer, loons and a fee pesky raccoons. We loved our 3 night camping trip at Charleston. Also make sure to stop by twists outlet, owners are fantastic and they have everything you'll need:)
