Very clean. Great views and nice space between sites. Small bags of firewood $6. Showers and laundry available. A bit of heavy road noise, but still quite peaceful overall. Fun for all ages.

Beautiful, well kept park with spacious campsites. Concrete pads, gravel sites and nice metal fire rings

I meant to post this message on the Chatfield State Park website but I think its important enough to also leave it here. So this review is not about this wonderful State Park, it's about the few people who come hear and leave all their disgusting trash behind. These pictures were taken August 14, 25. I beg State Park officials to š enforce the No Litter law and enforce it with substantial fines. It's unthinkable to me that people come to enjoy this park and use it as trash dumping site.

Barely camping, but plenty of outdoors! Concrete RV pads with hookups. A few dirt tent spots. Close enough to town for quick trips or a night out. Far enough away to still be enjoying a camp fire after dark.

Coming from Indiana, where the state parks have sites packed together you are practically gaining family members when you camp, we were impressed to have a pull through side with enough space for our family to spread out after a 14 hour drive. We camped in the C loop for 3 nights and truly enjoyed our time just in the campground. We took a walk down the walking path every morning and every evening, which offers great mountains views as well as a view of the lake. The bathrooms, including the pit toilets, were always clean. We were able to visit the Red RocksAmphitheatre and Rocky Mountain National Park in one day with our location. We went south the next day to Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center and Garden of the Gods. There is a LOT to see just through the windows of the truck. We came back one evening to find our site had been mowed which made a huge difference in the lay of our site. From the campground you can take a short track down to the lack to dip your toes in the water, or enjoy the sunset from the parking lot over the mountains. The campground map does locate the dump station adequately, however if you quickly read sign signs, it is easy to confuse! So be ready for that! All in all, if we find our way through the Denver area Asian, I will be booking us a spot here.

Lovely state park. Great campgrounds. Camped during winter protocols, so only electricity was available. Did not use their showers or restrooms, since we were here in a 5th wheel. Stayed only one night.
Dolce Vita!
A very nice park with alot of good spots to camp. It appears to be all pull through sites...good for those who are not confident about backing. Alot of really nice bike and walking trails around the entire park. There is a nice lake with several beaches. I recommend water shoes due to the type of small rocks...can be rough on feet if you're not used to them. Some shade trees scattered around, not all sites have shade. Rangers are good around the park. The camp hosts are great, they keep the sites immaculate. All around great place!

Wonderful peaceful well laid out RV park. Lake views all over, wildlife abundant but well under control. Very clean and well maintained grounds. Clean bathroom/laundry area also. Nice walk to the lake from all points. Very beautiful place.

This is one of the best publicly owned campgrounds, sites have full hook-ups and a few electric only. Each site is spacious, very clean and well-maintained. Thereās laundry and showers in each loop. Group sites are spacious and plentiful. Individual sites are clean and well spaced out. There are plenty of sites but they book up. Also there are a lot of activities in this large park.

The is the best campground! We went for a quick overnight just to get out of the house. The site was very clean-gravel raked and fireplace cleaned out. There were electric hookups at every site which made charging phones easy without using the car. They have real bathrooms that aren't just vault toilets, just bring your own hand soap. Sites are nicely spaced out so you don't hear your neighbors too much.I already booked another visit next month!
