I brought my niece (5) and nephews (7, 3), and they loved it. The park is well maintained. We did the orange loop which I would not describe as very easy (which is what’s on the map) because it goes fairly steeply uphill once you start heading back. But it was totally doable. We also did part of the blue loop and saw the hand pump for water (kids loved) and the old cabin (everyone thought this was cool). It was beautiful - we went in November so the leaves were changing colors. We all had a great time + would highly recommend.

This is a hidden gem. I arrived early and was one of the only people in the park. I had a great walk with my dog. There was so much to do and see and plenty of places for a picnic.

I've always loved this park .. Unfortunately, Currently, we were unable to enter water due to...... because of hidden dangers underwater. My guess is.... Pollutants washed down from upstream , where hurricane Helena. In addition to that, More unusual heavy rains and flooding in our area left debris also, such as small pieces of glass , and only the Lord knows. I will say...we both had a lovely day hiking and rock holding with a picnic. It's still beautiful 😍.

We decided to take a local trip for spring this year and picked Chau Ram County Park. We were glad we did! The park was a great little get away. The park staff are very friendly and helpful. We decided on bringing our camper and staying for a few days to explore other local parks in the area as well, but for those that are just looking for something to do for the day, the park is definitely a great day use park. I would definitely call in advance before booking your site for a camper, as they can tell you which sites may be more accommodating for the size of the camper you are planning on bringing. The park has plenty of trails to hike, most of which are easy for younger children as well. I would check with the park staff for any trails that are partially closed off before deciding on a hike. The orange trail that follows the river didn't disappoint. The scenery was amazing.
