Spacious sites. FHU, paved surface, level. Mostly shaded. I would have liked a place to put up my clam. Great bicycle riding. Showers were clean and the water hot. We were situated overlooking the marina. It was very peaceful.

Great campground. Quaint and spacious. The showers need to be fixed so they go longer than a couple seconds. And there needs to be hooks on wall to hang stuff while you shower so it doesn't get wet. And hooks needs to be accessible for people who are in wheel chairs or are shorter. Also needs to be handle to pull door shut effectively and at a height someone in wheelchair can pull closed independently. The toilet needs to be fixed in family bathroom so it doesn't run constantly. The handicap family bathroom should also indicate there is a shower inside.

Campground is located on hills in a dark forest. Uneven ground for camping. Campsites halfway paved, small and not well maintained. Lake access is limited. There is no phone signal.

First no rooms lol, this is a campground the camp spots are great, many rules but doable. The bathhouse always cleaned and stocked. Great place to camp.

We camped here for Memorial weekend. It is a beautiful place to camp. The water is calm and peaceful! The other campers are very nice and friendly! The gentleman that takes care of the campground is very nice and helpful also. I will camp there again. THANK YOU!

This could be considered the Chequamegon Nicolet’s flagship campground. Of the 40-some campgrounds on the national forest, Boulder Lake has the most campsites and nicest facilities. A good portion of its sites are reservable on recreation.gov; the rest remain first-come, first-served. There’s a nice swimming beach here, though signs warn of swimmers itch. Several modern shower houses can be found throughout the campground along with numerous vault toilets, water spouts and even a couple vintage hand pumps. This facility is run by U.S. Forest Service staff and volunteer campground hosts. Unlike many large national forest campgrounds, Boulder Lake Campground has not been handed off to a private concessioner. Campers enjoy lower fees and more interaction with forest staff as a result.

My family has been coming here to camp and fish for 60+ years. The campground has been expanded and the facilities are improved. It's still as forested as car camping can be. The lake is still clear. There are plenty of sights to see in the surrounding areas and the Wolf River is a tubing hotspot. Unless one is facing the tower on the opposite shore, cellular service is poor at best.
