Very nice campground. Most campsite are near the water and Choctaw loop has nice level sites. There is a frisbee golf course, basketball concrete slab, volleyball net, swimming, boat ramp and dock. The showers and plumbed bathroom building could be a little cleaner or updates. They are located at the far end of the campground instead of centrally located. Overall we loved our stay here and will most likely be back.

Couldn't find anyone to help us, so we just driver around. Saw some geese that my dog got into an argument with (she was still in the car), and some really cool mushrooms. I spent several summers in the area growing up, so it was nice seeing it again.

We had a great time out there. The only issue we had was that there are no markers for the big pavilions in the back like there is for each campsite. So we got all our baby shower stuff set up at one. We set up there bc it appeared there were campers at the other one. We were then told we were at the wrong one and were asked to move. That was a lot of stuff to move, and our event had already started. Thankfully, the other people who reserved that spot were willing to swap. We had a great time and despite the floods the water was excellent.

Nice camping spot next to the lake. There are rock overlooks that we sat out and looked at the lake and bridge for awhile, very pretty. Shaded in the late afternoon/evening. I booked online, but we spoke with ladies at park office before driving in. Unfortunately the electric at our site did not work and we did not know it until we already had camper set up. I called the office and she said “oh I was just about to call you, can you move to another spot?” That was a little frustrating. We were able to just run our cord to nearby spot so we didn’t have to move, but wish they would have said something. Otherwise we really enjoyed our time here.

It's just so pretty and even with people still peaceful. Must be the hills absorbing everyone's thoughts and softening them. Hope. Photo is on the way, just had to ❣️

I have been going to this park for decades. It has always been one of my favorite places to unwind. The park is very well kept and all the campers were quiet and friendly. Will definitely be back as soon as the next opportunity presents itself. Love this place
