Hayes Family Alaska

We stayed a few days as we make our way to Alaska. As soon as we arrived the staff was super sweet and accommodating. This park his dog super friendly. There are some full time residents who are all really sweet. It's definitely not a KOA, but much more laid back. If you need somewhere to park and need full services you'll enjoy it. Dump stations are great and park is kept manicured. They only have 30 Amp but we have solar panels on our Rig so it wasn't an issue.

This a great city park! There is a very nice walking path, splash pad for the kids, an amphitheater, many gazebos, pic-nic areas and pavilions. The best part is definitely being able to see the lake! There is a boat launch and marina where you can feed the fish (I believe that still exists). There is also a disk golf course. I think it would be cool if you had a disk library that you could check out a disk and return it to give an opportunity for more people to participate that don’t have disk. There are always birthday parties and people having fun. GREAT PARK!

The park is very clean. We spent most of our time at the splash pad. Everything we needed was close. The only issue I had was that the water fountain didn't work and neither did the drink machines. I would still highly recommend it for family activity.

Cherokee Park – A Beautiful Escape for All Ages! Cherokee Park is truly a treasure! I spent a wonderful day there with my grandchild, and we both had an amazing time. The natural beauty of the park is breathtaking — from the gently rolling hills to the peaceful wooded trails, it’s the perfect place to connect with nature and unwind. My grandchild especially loved exploring the open spaces and spotting wildlife along the paths. We brought a picnic and found the perfect spot near the playground — it felt like our own little slice of paradise. The park is clean, well-kept, and filled with friendly faces, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're walking, biking, playing, or just sitting under a tree enjoying the breeze, Cherokee Park offers something for everyone. It's a fantastic place to make memories with your family, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for a peaceful, fun-filled day outdoors!

Such a great place to take the family! It's especially good to go here when it snows! The hills are massive and great for sledding and tubing. Plus there are several playground and camp sites. The camp sites are only like 30 bucks for a night with electric and water. Great rental spots to have venues as well.
