Awesome place to camp. Easy to get to, also super close to Coopers Rock! Sites are always clean and staff is very friendly. So far our favorite place to camp.

Do not bring a larger camper down in Area E…. FYI - spots in E are not level. You would even have a rough time getting a camper in a few. HORRIBLE MUD!!!! Had to use 4wheel drive to get in our spot. Remained of park looks nice. They have fishing ponds, playground, and even a basket ball goal.

I found this recommendation through ChatGPT oddly enough. With coopers rock so close it’s a great spot to go to. They have 2 stocked lakes that require no permit. I actually caught a nice small mouth first cast. Camp store was nice. Firewood available but expensive. Bring your own. The shower house seems to be recently renovated and the men’s room seemed to be pretty clean. Ladies room mentioned that there were some things needing cleaning. Would recommended daily look over. However I was pleased and rank as my top camp shower as others have been way worse trust me. This is luxury lol. Nice and quiet for the most part. We think we were hearing geese at night what seemed to be about 2-300 yards north of us. They weren’t annoying but you could hear them. Our conclusion was Canadian geese migrating and mating. We didn’t investigate so not sure. Great spot here would def recommend. Nice and clean and spacious!

It was a really nice park. We are on a road trip from Cincy to DC and back, and we just needed a stopping point. The bathrooms were clean, the sites were private and not crowded, there was an unexpected swimming hole at the local pond. One not fun part- getting our popup into the site. It’s a back in, but there isn’t any turnaround space. The woman checking in told us that some people choose to back in the whole road, others get turned around at the shower house and back in the rest of the way. we took the second option, and even just that put my husband’s backing skills to the test. But he did it!!

I have loved this place all of my life, and I will be 50 years old soon, throughout many many changes and rules, and new rangers, my family donated this land many moons ago to the state, so that we all could enjoy the beautiful outdoors, wildlife and the 2 lakes/ ponds and the fun used to be fishing, the past riding our bikes up and down the ski slopes etc,no matter how many more strict rules in place, it's still a great peaceful getaway! My family and I have had many memories here, and not to forget my grandma being born here, and going to school in the old school house, many wonderful things to do and make memories

My girlfriend and I came to camp here on Easter weekend and had a WONDERFUL time. The park was so clean and our site (as well as most others) had a very nice tent pad for set up. My only "complaint" would be that the roads between campsites are quite rough, but that didn't detract from the magic that we encountered here. We will DEFINITELY be returning!

Loved the visitors center. Beautiful property. I highly recommend the place.

Campground is nice. Spots are very close but that’s alright as most people kept to themselves. The office/store is very nice and the workers are friendly and seem happy to be there. Nice to walk in the morning along the pond. The playgrounds seemed well equipped for children. The only problem we had was a large group of campers coming before our last night and telling us we were in their spot even though we were in the spot directly behind our numbered stake. It was after hours and we didn’t feel like arguing so we just cut the trip short and left that night. Other than that, this campground is affordable and well kept. I would return if the need to return to the area presented itself.

We had a wonderful family camping trip over a long weekend here. Even when it stormed the whole last day we had a great time playing with the kids in the rain. When the weather was nice there were small playgrounds we could use. The camp sites were lovely. A good distance away from our neighbor campers. Each site had a big fire pit, surrounded by trees. The shower house was very nice and clean. I love being surrounded by nature and we had a beautiful weekend.
